Leisure Charities

We have a main meeting each week usually with an outside speaker on a variety of topics. In addition we have, on average, 36 study groups which cover a wide range of interests including: discussion; mah-jong; French; birdwatching; philosophy; art; walking and gardening.

Provision of football coaching and games for junior and youth teams together with the promotion of healthy activity via sport for all.

The Charity runs a community centre and sports club, with rugby league being its main emphasis.

Fundraising activities for the educational, training, recreational and sporting benefit of the students of Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School by providing donations agreed by the PA to the school. All donations that are paid to the school must full under the objectives detailed within our constitution. Signed and Dated 12th October 2022.

The charity provides a village hall for the inhabitants of Embsay with Eastby and the neighbourhood to use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Advance the Christian religion by informing and guidance to young people from the teachings of the Christian faith

We provide Grassroots football training and games for both Boys and Girls to make them feel part of a team

To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the playing of football and other sports capable of improving health. To provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, recreation or other leisure time occupation of persons who have need for such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement or public at large.

Activities of the user groups include line dancers, table tennis, short mat bowls, Kung Fu classes, needlecraft group, the school, the Chapel, the Church, John Peck Society, Parish Council, Football club, Cricket Club, Keep Fit, Youth Club and private bookings for members of the community.

Setup originally to develop the Ty Brith Field through the provision of various facilities but primarily the building of a new Community Centre. Since this objective has been achieved the Association continues to oversea the running and further development of the Centre together with continued improvements to the playing field facilities for the benefit of the local community.

The association organises regular Friday prayers, Ramadan programmes, Eids' prayers, celebrate the Eids with Foods, barbeque, refreshments and entertainments, holding amateur sporting events for adults, children and the families and many other social programmes, for the benefits of the general public. Currently, the charity got a lease for permanent place to perform its activities.

We are a Scout group which includes Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We fundraise to pay for the upkeep of our Scout group headquarters and to give our young people as many opportunties to attend various scouting activities i.e. camping

By associating voluntary groups and organisations, and individuals, provides facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving conditions of life for those individuals.

Sailing, Power boating, Rowing and Seamanship skills.

The charity raises funds to provide premises and equipment to enable people in the Southampton region experience, take up and enjoy the sport of rowingIt provides free trial sessions for people who may be interested in trying the sport.It provides coaching and training to those that take up the sport to enable them to improve, develop and meet their personal goals.

Advance the amateur sport of associated football, promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing for people who have need of such facilities due to their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social & economic circumstances in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life advance the education of children and young people.

Offering 10 to 18 year olds life-changing nautical adventure based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. Opportunities include Rowing, Sailing, Power-boating, Kayaking, Adventurous Training, Seamanship,Cooking, Team-building and many more

The provision of facilities for the community of the village and surrounding areas. Facilities offer educational events from pre-school to the elderly. E.G. slimming, fitness, karate, badminton, football, dance, crafts, WI, AA, music, wellness, floristry, weddings, and parties. Also used for local Parish Council meetings, conferences and public charity events. Facilities disabled/baby friendly.

Congleton U3A operates in the Congleton (Cheshire) area to encourage and facilitate educational and other activities, primarily aimed at retired and semi-retired individuals. The objective is for individuals with skills or expertise to share these (on a voluntary basis) with other members. The wide range of skills includes languages, dancing, handicrafts, sports and multiple educational subjects.

We continue to provide a community hall for the benefit of residents of the area. Many groups use the hall including pre-school, religious, dance, martial arts, cats, dogs, fit club, community kitchen, and Duke of Edinburgh. The hall is used at weekends for private hire parties. We have 4 trustees.

The Caenhill Countryside Centre charity is a project that operates as a rural learning centre. It supports children, young people and communities where they can learn outside working with animals, agriculture, horticulture and rural skills and crafts. It helps young people on their pathways forward for their chosen skills, activities and future life and community groups to help support and learn

The Hall Management Committee aims to provide an attractive, comfortable and well-maintained venue at reasonable hire rates for many local groups and organisations. These include fitness classes, 2 line dancing groups, art club, painting classes, 2 womens institutes, whist and bridge clubs, dog training, mothers and toddlers group, flower club & Regis players drama

Dynamic Support of Greater Manchester is a register charity whose objective are to relieve poverty and distress in Greater Manchester and in Africa; to promote the benefit of BAME women and girls and their dependents; to promote their good health and well being and provide recreational facilities in the interest of social welfare.
