Leisure Charities

The charity has undertaken a variety of fundraising events including football matches, afternoon teas, a ball as well as our supporters taking part in their own sponsored events.We have used these funds to provide 'Journey Boxes' to teenagers and young adults at the Christie, Manchester from March 2016. They have proved very successful.

A village hall for recreation and amateur sport facilities.

Owns the freehold of the village hall and adjacent recreation ground in Foxton, Leicestershire.It maintains them for operational use. Provides loans and grants as permitted.

Scouting Camping Climbing Hiking Personal development

The 1st Cheriton Scout Group provides a full programme of scouting activities for all sections, including camping and a large variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

To help young people, through the provision of leisure time activities, and in particular participation in organised invitational rugby union games and other activities so as to develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individual members of society; and in the interests of social welfare to improve their conditions of life

Bridge, Yoga, Zumba, Ballet, Ballroom Latin and Scottish Dancing, Cornhole, Public meetings and AGM's for community groups, Karate, Thai Chi, Cardiac Fitness, Lunch Club for over 55's, Pilates, Floral Club, Horticultural Shows, Festival events, Parish Council Events, Craft Fayres, Childrens clubs, Children's parties, Private Events. Community events.

Community Centre is for the use of the inhabitants of Menai Bridge and the neighbourhood, for meetings, education, recreation and leisure activities

The relief of the needs of people with Down's Syndrome, their families and carers, for public benefit, in particular, but not exclusively by providing information, advice, support, and educational, vocational, social, cultural and sporting opportunities and by raising awareness of Down's Syndrome within Nottinghamshire, in order to maximise opportunities for their participation and inclusion.

The property and the trust fund and its income shall be applied for the purposes of a community centre and to provide and maintain a recreation ground and playing field for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Scredington and neighbourhood.Including the use of the property for meetings, lectures and classes or other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation.

The objects of the CIO are to operate a village hall, and related facilities, for use by the inhabitants of the Parish of Barham and surrounding areas, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

We hold various events and activities which raise money for St. Martins Infant and Junior Schools, Epsom. These include a Christmas Fair, firework night, discos, film/quiz nights, raffles, second-hand uniform sales and family photo days. The money raised is used to buy extra equipment (eg.for playground/PC/laptops) and activities (eg. tennis lessons) for the children at St. Martins

Winchester Lido Sports Association provides premises, facilities and necessary basic equipment for members of the public and associated member organisations to participate in Badminton, Judo and Aikido, fitness training and other recreational activities as interest and demand may arise. We aim to actively encourage and promote recreation and sport in the community.

The aim of the Trust is to preserve Twyford Waterworks as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and to develop its educational and leisure potential through the formation of a Museum of Water Supply.

The Board of Trustees operates and manages a 10 1/2 acre recreation ground on behalf of the parish of Mary Tavy. Facilities include the Coronation Hall, playing pitches with changing rooms, a children's playground, a nature trail & allotments.
