Leisure Charities

The main activity of the charity was the provision of facilities and the organisation and playing of competitive and friendly cricket. The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

Provides sport and facilities to the local community, sports carried out are cricket, tennis, football, hockey, ball skills.

To ensure that community projects tackling crime and disorder receive financial and other support.Within a wider strategy to reduce crime protect the vulnerable, promote good citizenship, promote sport and active recreation, tackle drug and alcohol misuse, improve road safety and develop safer communities.

Providing and maintaining a recreation ground and sports facilities in the interests of social welfare with the aim of improving the conditions of life of the local inhabitants in particular by improving their physical and psychological health and wellbeing.

Dobies Charitable Trust supports organisations which enhance the quality of life for communities in Cumbria. For example, local sports teams, health support charities, carnivals etc. The areas which are favoured are those that help disadvantaged families or children.The trust does not support national charities or individuals, unless there is a specifc benefit to the Cumbrian people.

To provide a venue for social, cultural and sporting activities for the people of Hathersage and Hope Valley.

Managing the Parbold Village Hall for and on behalf of the local community. Encouraging multi-use of the village hall which includes Slimming World, Karate, Keepfit, Mother & Baby Classes, Badminton, Parbold Picture House, Sunday Markets, Douglas Music, Flower Club, Pilates, Children's parties, etc.

To advance the Jewish religion.To relieve financial hardship, isolation sickness and poor health amongst elderly people.To promote social inclusion.To advance in life and help young people through The provision of recreational and leisure time activities.

To provide facilities in the Parish of Bradwell and surrounding areas to the local community to facilitate education, training, to enable group participation in health & fitness classes, play amateur sports and enjoy art and culture. We provide a safe environment for Church Groups and local groups. The Centre also provides classes, workshops, performances, lectures and social gatherings.

WE OFFER VARIOUS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS WALKING FOOTBALL, GOLF, BOWLS, FISHING, WALKING CLUB, BOOK CLUB, CRIBBAGE, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS TO HELP AND SUPPORT PEOPLE AND FAMILIES WHO LIVE WITH PARKINSON'S DISEASE. BEING ACTIVE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE CONDITION. WE RELY ON GRANTS, SPONSORSHIP AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO PROVIDE THE ACTIVITIES THAT WE OFFER.

Community based activities, social, sporting and fund raising.

We manage the Village Hall and Playing Field in the Parish of Lympne in Kent. The facilities are provided for the benefit of all residents of the Parish for their benefit with no groups excluded, for leisure and recreational purposes for all ages with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

To relief sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods, items or services and counselling support3. To promote for the benefit of the public the provision of facilities for recreation for the young people.

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of NN2 and surrounding areas and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

A Parish hall serving the a community of 1600 persons together with the surrounding small villages and hamlets in a deprived rural community with little or no public transport. Supports clubs such as WI short mat bowls, drama Garden club Annual flower show old peoples activities. Available for private and public functions. Houses Community shop manned by volunteers.

To manage a village hall for use by the inhabitants of Comberton and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or race or of political, religious or other opinions and in particular for use for meetings, lectures, and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Serves the Communities of Roundswell & Sticklepath by providing rooms for hire for various activities of hirers; e.g shortmat bowls, bridge, dancing, church worship, weddings and receptions, police surgeries, lectures, table-top sales, other charity fundraising events, children's parties, childrens' playgroup, mum and baby group, etc, blood donors, election station

COMMUNITY CAFE TO THE HU9 AREA, SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO RESIDENTS OF THE PRESTON ROAD ESTATE AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING LOW COST AFFORDABLE ACTIVITIES AND A VENUE FOR SAID ACTIVITIES.

Weddings, Parties, Church meetings, Keep Fit, Weight Watchers, Community Theatre and all Social events that you would expect from a community hall.

Manage and maintain Cornworthy Village Hall. The hall is available for public hire and is used by a number of organisations/societies for sport and leisure activities as well as private parties. It is also the local polling station. The Committee holds fund raising events.

Clients from Grove and the surrounding area attend our purpose-built Day Centre in Grove which is open every Tuesday and Thursday (excl. Christmas). We employ several part time staff and also have several volunteers. Home cooked meals are provided each day. Activities include supervised care, entertainment, arts and crafts, stretching or other gentle exercise and mental stimulation games.

We are a community hall based in Rhiwbina in north Cardiff. We let space out to local groups and individuals, such as after school groups and exercise, art and language classes. We also have four 'foundation' groups that provide for flower arranging, drama, badminton and playing bridge. We have an estimated 50,000 people a year who enter the Hall and are very much rooted in the local community.
