TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE SKILL IN RIFLE AND PISTOL SHOOTING SO THAT CITIZENS ARE BETTER FITTED TO SERVE THEIR COUNTRY IN THE ARMED FORCES, TERRITORIAL AND ARMY VOLUNTEER RESERVES OR ANY OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN WHICH THEIR SERVICES MAY BE REQUIRED. TO ORGANISE TEAMS TO REPRESENT OXFORDSHIRE IN NATIONAL AND OTHER COMPETITIONS.
