To improve the quality of life of former mineworkers and/or their dependants in North Derbyshire

To raise capital to continue to highlight and develop the rich heritage of the coal industry of the aber valley. We have built a memorial garden also, developed a museum both to the 1901 ad 1913 mining disasters that occurred in the aber valley when 521 men and boys lost their lives from devastating explosions .The later 1913 disaster taking 440 lives whih was the third largest in the world .

A UK charity born out of the mining industry. It is a social enterprise which has been established to harness the collective investment of the private sector, with strong support from the mining industry, into social and development projects. It aligns the business investment of mines with other companies thereby creating local participation through strategic partnerships.

The Dempster Trust assists financially individual persons resident in Farnham, those who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress, by making one off grants of money, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

The principle activity of the company is the study of disease of the skin and post graduate education of doctors, scientists and nurses.

The hall is used for recreation and education and is open to all. Groups using the hall are dancing,council meetings,exercise and keep fit group,phab adult meetings and socialising, training sessions and bingo.It is also used by the clays practice nurse to hold copd meetings. It is also availabile to hire for parties and wakes.ect.

CHALKE DEANERY, IN THE DIOCESE OF SALISBURY UK, IS LINKED WITH THE DIOCESE OF CUEIBET IN SOUTH SUDAN.IT PROVIDES THE PEOPLE OF CUEIBET WITH EDUCATION AND TRAINING THROUGH SPONSORSHIP FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS, SUPPORT TO CUEIBET PRIMARY SCHOOL AND TRAINING FOR CLERGY. Providing grants to any widow, widower, former spouse, separated spouse or a child of a deceased member of the clergy in the Diocese of Truro who are in need by reason of poverty.

The Trust is responsible for management of the Kimberley Miners Recreation Ground for the benefit of the residents of Kimberley and the surrounding area.

TO PROVIDE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR 999 EMERGENCY CALLS,PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF PARAMEDIC/AMBULANCE CREW.

The charity supports a Clinic together with a full time nurse at the 'African Outreach Academy' primary school in Luwero, Uganda, where we also support health education initiatives. We also sponsor two other (luwero & Lukenko) local school projects who provide for children less likely to be supported by parents/guardians and give more direct sponsorship support to around 35 children.

Provision of almshouses

Our aim is to raise money to sponsor the training of health professionals, in their own country, to work in poor rural areas. Our first project involves raising money to sponsor the training of nurses to SRN grade in Cameroon, W Africa. 5 new nursing students sponsored this year, bring our total up to 83.We have also sponsored two nurses in Uganda to upgrade from basic nursing to SRN grade.

The Charity's objects are to provide recreational facilities including an Institute for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Langley Mill in Derbyshire.
