To provide monies to the elderly or poor of the village. To pay the P.C.C. with money for church upkeep. To pay the vicar who preaches four times in the year. To provide monies to apprentices for their training.

The Charity relates to a peppercorn rent attached to some older properties in the parish and dates back several hundred years hence the small amounts involved. The money collected is distributed between the Vicar of Ipstones; the School Trustees and the pensioners of the parish. Because of the small amounts involved the money collected is distributed every 3 or 4 years.

Income from this small charity is used to make grants at Christmas to the deserving and needy in the parish of Westoning.

Give assistance to people who are having financial difficulties - these are at discretion of the vicar.

VICAR TO RECEIVE SMALL SUM FOR A GOOD FRIDAY SERMON. REMAINDER TO CHURCH FABRIC FUND.

One tenth of the income to be applied for the benefit of poor children residing in the parish of Plymstock and attending the parish church of Plymstock, one tenth to be distributed between the singers in the said parish church and the remainder to be paid to the Vicar in part thereof for preaching a sermon annually on the duty of children to their parents.

Makes grants to elderly people of Lambourn Berkshire with bedding and similar items for the poor of the Parish of LambournIt is proposed to merge this small charity with the Vicar and Church Wardens Sexton's Charity by widening the latter's purposes as the trustees are the same for both charities

Provision of church services

The Samaritan Fund for the League of Charing Cross Hospital Nurses, was set up to provide assistance for any member. For those not trained at Charing Cross Hospital, membership of the League is available for those nurses who, following qualification elsewhere, have subsequently held a nursing position for a minimum of 1 year.

Easington Charitable Trust helps the Easington miners & families in the Easington community since the pit closure in 1993, we give financial help to the members & wives & children ie, Sam Watson Rest Home for women & Scalby Homes for retired miners, & bus trips for the members & children & wives ie Durham Gala.
