Professions Charities

The Charity is funded from donations in support of the work of the Doctors and Nurses who work from Fownhope Medical Centre. It aims to provide services to patients not available through public funding.

Assistance with the maintenance of St.Mary's Church. Cromford and consideration of any requests for financial support made by the Vicar and the P.C.C.

As a support and resource group for clergy, FCP arranges an annual pilgrimage/conference. This takes place at Walsingham with speakers each giving a lecture each on various aspects of priestly tasks. A number of study days have been organised in different parts of the country focussing on priestly formation and clergy education, it is hoped that a larger number of priests will be able to attend.

The Trust was set up with a donation from Mr Lance Hunter-Rowe in 1987, the funds to be employed to purchase items of medical equipment for use by the Health Centre, the District Nurses or for loan to patients, as well as for improvements which support or benefit the patients.

Providing educational resources for the vicar of Twyning.

Provides grants towards medical needs, heating or hospital transport for sick or elderly residents of the parish of Singleton, West Sussex.

We provide financial support for services that provide palliative care and those that provide for critically ill and injured adults and children in the Bedfordshire area. Specifically, although not exclusively, we support the services provided by Keech Hospice Care.We do this in memory of Aimee Sarah Varney, a nurse who worked at the hospice, who died suddenly on 16 June 2013, aged 21 years.

Provision of grants to the Parochial Church Council and Vicar and Church wardens of Topsham for provision for poor and upkeep of church and churchyard.

Fundraising wholly for the use of the doctors and nurses of Constantine Surgery, who supply to their patients and equip the practice with services and items not available as the freely-supplied section their NHS funds.

Zimbabwe Life Project is a group of mental health nurses, doctors and therapists in the UK who have come together with one aim, to develop a skills exchange program with mental health professionals in Zimbabwe which will be marked by participatory exchanges of knowledge, skills and experiences.

Making small pensions to retired miners within the prescribed area.

We distribute £70.00 each, twice a year, to the 5 oldest men in the village plus the vicar.We also distribute £30.00 to the oldest ladies in the village (20-25)

The trustees continue to distribute funds for relief of the poor to the parishes designated in the will of the late Elizabeth Hodges dated 13th May 1723 together with a gift to the vicar of Shipton Moyne for preaching five sermons given dates: her own death, 14th April her father's death, 18th March her mother's death, 16th July her brother Thomas's death, 4th Feb her brother Escourt's death.

Holding conferences and gatherings and providing information for clergy and lay, to inform and encourage their core beliefs, as detailed in the Catholic Creeds, the 39 Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer and the Ordinal.

Acts of general charity mainly in the parish of Stonehouse Plymouth. Particularly small gifts by the vicar to individuals . Also School prizes

Makes small grants to clergy in the Diocese of Newcastle to enable them to take a break from their parish duties

In the past year Members Attended over 40 incidents on behalf of the Walsh Ambulance Service across North Wales.Many emergencies were of a life threatening nature, some were fatalities while others resulted in lives saved.We Provide care and treatment pre-hospital which is not carried out by paramedics due to different skills of the Doctors involved.
