The Samaritan Fund for the League of Charing Cross Hospital Nurses, was set up to provide assistance for any member. Easington Charitable Trust helps the Easington miners & families in the Easington community since the pit closure in 1993, we give financial help to the members & wives & children ie, Sam Watson Rest Home for women & Scalby Homes for retired miners, & bus trips for the members & children & wives ie Durham Gala.

We are fund raising with the aim of purchasing fields in Higher Road, Breage. We are asking for pledges to cover the purchase cost and legal fees. Our aim is to establish a wildflower meadow. The fields are part of a green triangle at the heart of this Cornish village which is within a Conservation Area and a Mining World Heritage Site. The fields are a green backdrop to the Church of St Breaca.

The Charity is responsible for four small Almshouses in the centre of Toddington. The residents are widows or spinsters of the Parish. The Trustees are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Almshouses. The Trustees expect to be able to pay for routine repairs and maintenance out of the income.
