To advance the Muslim religion in Blackburn and the surrounding area for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals and the distribution of literature on the Islamic faith, providing services of worship and religious teaching.

The charitable objects of the PCC are primarily focused on the advancement of religion, which is recognised as acharitable purpose having public benefit. All regular public worship is provided free of chargeand open to all.

Activities are planned to meet strategic aims and include the holding of arts and cultural events, lectures and fundraising events, engaging with a wide and diverse audience.

Grant-making with reference to the general advancement of the Roman Catholic religion. Maintenance of a public chapel available daily for worship.

The trustees provide and maintain the premises for use under the provisions of the Sharing of ChurchBuildings Act 1969 and in accordance with a sharing agreement made between the sharing Churches.The premises comprise a part designated and set apart for use as a chapel, a part for community use anda part set aside for charitable activities by the Centre/hired by other voluntary organisations

The furtherance of the Religious and Charitable Purposes of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain within North and East Yorkshire and beyond. We hold Meetings for Worship at Beverley, Hull, Kirkbymoorside, Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Whitby and RAF Fylingdales; provide grants to projects within our Quaker ethos; and provide Quaker Chaplains at Hull Prisons and Hull University.

To encourage and promote worship of God. Provide Christian and value education to married couples, young adults, youth and children. Provision of grants for charity and ministerial work among indigent children, (feeding & education). Study grant for theological education of pastors and leaders. Conduct Youth Camps and family retreats. Benevolent giving.

To advance the religion of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church in Greater Manchester and India by maintaining the faith, tradition and doctrines of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox church and shall perform all the religious rites and sacraments to all its members in accordance with the ancient Syrian Orthodox tradition. 2. To relieve poverty and sickness in Greater Manchester and India.

Religious activities

Jubilee Church Ely is a local church practising the Christian faith in Cambridgeshire, drawing people from Ely and the surrounding villages. Its activities include worship services each Sunday, children's and youth groups, prayer and bible study meetings, Alpha courses, special services on significant Christian celebrations and working in partnership with other local Christian churches.
