Main activities description objective is to advance the Sikh Religion for the benefit of the public in accordance to SikhRehat Maryada (Sikh Code of Conduct issued by the Supreme Sikh Institute , Amritsar Panjab). Current main area of focus is the restoration and preservation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Promoting the cause of mutual understanding between communities. 5. Providing facilities to meet educational needs.7. Maintaining a library. 8. Providing facilities for the elderly.9. Organising fundraising events.

The charities main aim is to contribute to the spiritual and moral education of young people. Achieved by promoting the study of religious teachings and practices and scriptures. Also promoting prayer, praise and study by holding regular classes in Sikh Temples.

The Charity is set to help the general public and it does this by making grants to individuals and providing buildings facilities or open space to the needy. It mainly operates though out England and Wales as well as countries like India, Nepal, Philippines or where ever help is needed.

SITC's main activities and objectives are the advancement of amateur sport and the advancement of health by encouraging and facilitating community participation in healthy recreation, in particular running. All events aim to provide racial / religious harmony through sport.The events are open to all regardless of age, disability,ethnic background,social class or gender and is open to nonmembers.

This Charity endeavours to carry out various General Charitable activities including education, health, social welfare and development, relief of poverty, promotion of the principles of Sikh religion in particular the awareness of the therapeutic and spiritual values of Gurbani (Sikh Scriptures) in UK and overseas.

SSSEC is an educational charity providing regular classes in Punjabi, North Indian & Sikh classical music (vocal and traditional instruments), and Sikhism to people of all ages and backgrounds. We also run events such as camps and workshops aiming to inspire, educate, and empower the public, in particular the youth, to become active and responsible global citizens.

Sikh Community & Youth Service was set up in 1988 and is a registered charity who has grown into an established community resource for Sikhs in Nottingham, with a strong reputation in improving the lives of our users through education, outreach work, volunteering and training.

Raising money for local and national children's charities/projects:SACA, a voluntary charity organisation is the organiser of the event -Birmingham to London Charity Bike Ride (Est. 1984). Every year a children's charity is nominated as a beneficiary for the annual ride by the riders and volunteers of SACA. SACA also run their own projects to benefit sick children and children with disabilities.

The prevention or relief of poverty in the UK and worldwide (initially in the Punjab region of India) for the public benefit and in line with the tenets of the Sikh Faith, by collecting regular donations to provide financial assistance, facilities, services and other items to individuals facing financial hardship.

Gurdwara Dukh Nirwaran Sahib is an organisation belonging to the Sikh faith and primarily serve the religious needs of the sikh followers in the surrounding localities where the two branches are based.

Leicester Council of Faiths promotes trust, understanding and co-operation among the city's faith communities, speaks up for their viewpoint on significant issues, provides reliable information to civic authorities, service providers, educational institutions and local media. KALGHIDAR SIKH MISSION has been set up to promote the Sikh religion,history,culture & arts by working with Multi Faith organisations & established charitable organisations & to collaborate in the field of film, television, theatre and performance arts with all cultures, to promote our aims & objectives. We also aim to develop projects that will empower marginalised and underprivileged groups.

To promote the Sikh religion in the city of Norwich by the maintenance of a Temple for worship, the celebration of such religious festivals, and the conduct of baptism, marriage and funeral rites in accordance with Sikh religious observances, and by such other means as the charity trustees think fit.

Distribution of books, videos, cd's of worship programmes. Meetings and religious worship held at local sikh temples and houses.

We provide a conservation service for printed and manuscript heritage, primarily sacred texts from the Sikh tradition. We provide preservation advice for individuals as well as Gurdwaras and institutions who are custodians of printed and manuscript heritage.

We promote and teach the Sikh religion

GNM is a community project with the aim to feed anyone in need of a meal. GNM was founded on the teachings of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev ji; 'langar' (free food kitchen), equality and justice for all. Freshly prepared vegetarian meals are cooked in a Gurdwara and given out for free in Nottingham in the city centre and also to local foodbanks.
