To apply such of the income as the Trustees determine for the benefit of The Retreat, York, (a non-profit making Registered Nursing Home) to make grants to meetings of the Religious Society of Friends and to enable travelling in the Ministry.

MAKE GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS AND ACTIVITIES CLOSELY IN SYMPATHY OR RUN BUY THE RELIGIOUS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS (QUAKERS),PARTICULARLY THOSE WHICH BENEFIT PEOPLE WHO BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE A NEED OF EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND WHERE THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND DEVELOP MENTAL PHISICAL AND SPIRITUAL CAPACITIES

The education of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the Fleet Air Arm Museum through the activities of a group of Members.

FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED ACCORDING TO NEED AND DECIDED UPON AT MONTHLY EXECUTIVE MEETINGS.

Funds organisations working with adults, up to 10 miles of York city centre that provide self development opportunities unavailable in childhood; or that provide opportunities that encompass basic education, open horizons, develop confidence and allow examination of beliefs/ideas; or provide opportunities to develop ideas of community, concern for others, and put to them into action.

Provision of housing for persons in need with preference given to those who are members of the Society of Friends.

Bryan Lancaster is an independent Quaker charity.It makes small grants to other registered charities for the relief of social exclusion predominately in Kendal, Cumbria and the North West. It also makes grants to various Quaker charities.Occasional grants are made to British charities working abroad.Grants to individuals are made via other registered charities & statutory bodies.

We hold three services each month in our Grade 2 Listed Chapel. We support a number of organisations and local Hospices each year from chapel donations. Our Hall is used most days by various groups a Spiritualist group and the local Society of Friends.The Chapel members also use the Hall for the Members' monthly buisiness meeting.

The Foundation's purpose is to advance education in accordance with the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in such ways as the charity Trustees think fit and in particular to advance the education of past, present and future pupils of The Mount School (York)

The objects of the trust deed are to make grants for general charitable purposes at the discretion of the trustees. In practice, a policy reflecting the interests of the settlers has been implemented, whereby grants are made under the following headings, health, homelessness, Quaker causes/institutions, support groups and third world. The trust does not accept unsolicited applications.

Funding and supervising small community initiated projects aimed at improving the quality of life of impoverished, indigenous people in Bolivia, through community empowerment and the promotion of sustainable livelihoods. Principally with rural aymara communities in the Altiplano. Operates through sister organization in Bolivia 'Fundacion QBL' with a local board and development workers.

Disburses grants to charities according to the interests of the trustees, particularly Quaker charities or projects in which members of the Religious Society of Friends and active attenders have a substantial involvement and responsibility. On rare occasions may offer small grants to individuals, perhaps for educational needs.

To advance the education of the public in general (and particularly within the Religious Society) on thesubject of Criminal Justice, in particular by: i) arranging conferences, seminars and lectures;ii) publication of a regular newsletter;iii) facilitating contact and exchange of experience between members of the charity.

Provision of bursaries. Fund raising to provide additional facilities and equipment for the school. Provision of assistance with funding for educational trips and encouragement of additional curriculum studies by donation of prizes.

Supporting individual Quakers in need witnessing to Christian and Quaker testimonies

Fundraising for school, including raffles, disco's, fetes.

Grants for the religious and other charitable work of Quakers in Yorkshire and making grants for other charitable objects with an emphasis on religious charities, animal charities and charities for elderly people, children and disabled persons and for peace and reconciliation. It is the Trust's practice not make more than one grant to the same organisation within a period of 18 months

Provides grants to persons connected with Liverpool and Mann, and Manchester and Warrington Area Meetings of the Society of Friends for religious and educational purposes. It provides financial support for the maintenince of some of the buildings within the two Area Meetings

The trust exists to support and help Friends in need who are members or attenders of Central England Area Quaker Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends Formerly and is also known as Warwickshire Monthly Meeting. The trust acts following an approach from the needy Friend's local meeting.
