The voice of the social sciences in the UK for the public benefit. We exist to promote the social sciences in the UK for the public benefit. We share knowledge and understanding of the social sciences and how they benefit society; we encourage evidence-led social science input to policy; and we recognise excellence through the award of Fellowship.

To advance education in the social sciences in particular but not exclusively through research (the useful results of which will be disseminated for the public benefit). The Trust therefore aims to provide a new avenue for scholars from around the world to focus their efforts in the social sciences within a sympathetic framework.The Trust operates the Institute for the Study of Indentureship.

This includes developemnt of professional standards to ensure quality of assessment & treatment & safety to members of the public, research & development of orthoptic techniques. The Charity's activities are to promote urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation particularly in Sunderland and its surrounding areas . The Trustees will use the following means and any other that they may from time to time determine . Ovacome provides support across the UK in many ways, including; face to face support groups; phone lines; an online forum. Ovacome provides up to date information and raises awareness of the symptoms among the medical community and public. The Charity supports appropriate research.

IBRA promotes the value of bees by providing information on bee science and beekeeping worldwide.

Prizes for excellence in science educationSalters' Chemistry Camps - these were run annually for 15 year olds throughout UK. The Camps ceased in July 2015.
