STEMPOINT is an educational charity whose aim is to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. We do this by engaging young people in memorable experiences and by introducing them to STEM professionals. We have more than 35 years experience of working at the interface of education and local STEM based business, industry and research.

* Promoting research into the causes and treatment of diabetes mellitus and publishing the useful result thereof.* The preservation and protection of the health of the public by educating them and conducting research into the causes and prevention of diabetes.* The advancement and promotion of education in the treatment of diabetes by members of the medical profession.

The principal activities of the charity are to educate and encourage the public in all aspects of the Arts Sciences Crafts and History with particular reference to the County of Cornwall.

The BSDB aims to promote and advance the research, teaching and public education of developmental biology in the United Kingdom by organising research meetings, awarding grants to individuals and organisations. The BSDB supports young scientists and awards grants to enable them to attend scientific meetings. In addition we aim to further public education in the science of developmental biology.

The Sloth Conservation Foundation (SloCo) is dedicated to saving sloths in the wild through research and conservation initiatives. Such conservation strategies include:Education programs in local communities,Re-insulating power lines,Planting forest corridors to connect fragmented habitats,Construction of wildlife bridges across major roads,Scientific research.

To stimulate interest in and encourage research into the scientific and technical problems of snow and ice worldwide; to facilitate and increase the flow of glaciological ideas and information; to publish the Journal of Glaciology, Annals of Glaciology, the IGS newsletter ICE and other such publications as the Council from time to time determine; to sponsor lectures, field meetings and symposia.

Key objectives for the Charity include providing support and guidance to members; growing the membership; increasing awareness of the condition and the charity both amongst the medical community and the general public; promoting/encouraging medical research; and fundraising. To improve the early detection, care & treatment of babies with congenital heart disease. Provides specialist training to health professionals to improve prenatal screening in hospitals to increase the detection of heart defects in babies before birth. Funds research to increase understanding of prenatal cardiovascular disease and its impact on the health of the individual.

We provide awareness, education and support all across the UK to those affected by germ cell cancer. The charity educates young people aged 16 - 35 years to give them the best chance of surviving It engages online and on social media to break the stigma and it empowers young people affected by germ cell cancer to thrive; offering information, resources and free support packs to anywhere in the UK

GUTS is dedicated to improving the experience and outcomes of individuals affected by bowel cancer. Through grants it funds capital projects, pioneering medical research and a clinic for families with a strong genetic risk of developing the disease. GUTS also provides an online information resource to help patients during and after treatment.
