THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF CHORAL MUSIC IN ORDER TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN ITS ARTS AND SCIENCES BY THE PRESENTATION OF CONCERTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.

The objects of the choir are to educate the public in the Art and Science of Music in all its aspects and to study, practice and perform in public choral works and to engage in other exclusively charitable activities as the choir committee may approve.

The principal objectives of the trust are to advance the education of the medical profession in the knowledge of cardiovascular disease and its treatment, and to promote research into the causes, prevention, alleviation and management of cardiovascular disease.

Promoting the conservation, creation, maintenance, and study for the benefit of the public of places and objects of ornithological, arboricultural, entomological, botanical, zoological, or scientific interest or of natural beauty.

To promote, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purpose as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committe may from time to time decide.

To advance the education of the public by promoting research in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, in the field of medicine, the results of such research being disseminated for the benefit of the public in the area of benefit. To assist or promote any charitable organisation or charitable purpose in the area of benefit.

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including the presentation of public concerts and recitals

To advance the education of the public in matters relating to the history, politics, science, economies, arts and literature of Britain and the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Grants to local organisations and schools in the pursuance of studies relating to science, literature and the arts. The promotion of and assistance with education of pupils or past pupils of any school or college in the area of benefit and who are resident within the area of benefit. The assistance of any local organisation undertaking activities for young people in the area of benefit.

Advancement of the education of the public in the science, art, literature, music, history, economics, philosophy, culture, way of life and other recognised subjects of the academic study of Greece.The relief of poverty and sickness with particular regard to persons who have suffered as a result of disasters whether in the United Kingdom or in Greece or elsewhere.

Promoting, improving, developing & maintaining public education in & appreciation of the art & science of predominately choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts.

The Lam Rim Bristol Trust seeks to reduce the suffering of all beings through the provision of a quiet Centre for meditation and reflection, with guidance in Buddhist philosophy and practice. Through support of the ordained community, there is mutual benefit for lay people and monks and nuns. The centre is supported holistically by an Alternative Health Centre.

The advancement, for public benefit, of the science and art of lighting together with the advancement and publication of the related research, through making grants to appropriate organisations and individuals, providing advice and sponsorship or undertaking research.

Religious Activities

The Charity, based in Ealing, runs weekly classes in yoga, breath, relaxation, meditation and philosophy. It holds occasional retreats, distributing books, yoga materials and other publications. The Centre respects all faiths and religions. It aims at a practical blend of the philosophy and psychology of both the traditional East and the modern West.

We raise funds for the village school by organising activities for the children (Christmas and Summer Fairs, discos, circus visits) and for the local community (Quiz Nights). We have contributed towards an outdoor adventure play area, classroom, stage and science garden, a stage and new dining chairs for the school hall, a suite of laptops, books, building work and smart televisions.

Grants are made to other charities and / or voluntary bodies to fund medical research. We raise funding by receiving donations from both individuals and societies as well as from income we receive from our investments and occasionally by encashing a small part of our investments.

Educating the public in the art and science of music by the presentation of concerts by internationally renowned musicians, young performers together with other allied activities.

The Trust works closely with Plymouth Social Isolation Forum to find novel ways to bring isolated and lonely people together at Thorn Park Lodge. It also runs recall reminiscence sessions, practical science-based workshops, helps raise children's aspirations in novel ways. It has a pharmaceutical museum, library, a medicinal garden and is planning an exciting Heritage Health Science Exploratory.

To educate the public in the art and science of music, with particular reference to music as presented by brass bands, by means of concert and other activities.To advance the musical education of young people by providing them with suitable opportunities to learn to play brass instruments.
