Research Charities

The charity's object and its principal activities continue to be that of breed society functions in recording pedigrees of Hampshire Down sheep and to promote the science and practice of agriculture by the encouragement of the breeding of Hampshire Down Sheep at home and abroad. The charity also undertakes research in the subject of sheep breeding, wool production and matters relating thereto.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in an appreciation of Science and the Arts, including literature, music and drama. To attract high calibre presentations in the pursuit of excellence as in the Society?s motto ?Praestantiam petimus?. The College is the professional governing body for Clinical Perfusion Scientists in Great Britain and Ireland. It holds the register and works to ensure that all registered Clinical Perfusion Scientists are fit to practice and uphold the standards and codes of conduct and ethics.
