The Faculty organises eponymous lectures, part-time courses in the History of Medicine, a part-time courses in Ethics & the Philosophy of Healthcare, provides funding for undergraduates attending these courses and arranges joint meetings and symposia.

To promote for the benefit of the public the preservation and maintenance of the historic steam tug KerneTo advance the education of the public in the science, technology and use of steam power in general and its application to marine in particular

Organising national and regional conferences; publication of a learned journal and a regular newsletter; provision of web-based and printed resources; provision of speakers for events in the general area of science and religion; responding to queries and questions from the media and from the wider public: collaboration with other charities working in related areas

The BSEM promotes the study and good practice of allergy, environmental and nutritional medicine for the benefit of the public and supports doctors who use the insights of ecological medicine to help patients. The society trains doctors and eligible health practitioners, organises scientific conferences and provides information for doctors and patients

The Association's aim is to advance the eduction & training of graduates in medicine, dentistry and related arts and science and to promote medical and dental research. It provides money to help with equipment and maintenance of the Education Centre, which is now a multi-educational centre.

The Academy is a young organisation that is working to provide a much needed voice to help advance the profession, develop the scientific knowledge base and support and promote lifelong learning for optometrists, opticians, vision scientists and all those involved in eye health care across Europe.

The aims of the BSCMR are to:- promote clinical practice and research into cardiovascular magnetic resonance and to disseminate the useful results of such research, and- further the advancement of education in cardiovascular magnetic resonance for the public benefit.Membership of the BSCMR is open to all healthcare professional with an interest in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Picturing Health uses film and art in Public Health worldwide. We make films to train health workers, inform patients, promote community discussion and disseminate research findings. We evaluate the effectiveness of our work and build capacity of film makers and clinicians to make health films. The charity recruits tutors to lead groups to discuss or participate in a wide variety of topics and activities.
