Saving of lives Charities That specialise in Humanitarian relief

Relief of poverty, provision of aid and famine relief, plus advancement of education, but primarily the start-up and development of sustainable initiatives for the benefit of local people, especially among the Lamba and Tembuka peoples.

Hijaz Welfare Trust aims to help the poor & needy with dedicated programmes, such as water wells, orphans sponsorship, providing nutritious food, emergency aid in response to crisis, providing healthcare projects.

(1) To support the education of the public, particularly to sponsor orphans and children with poor families in Somalia and by renovation of schools building, equipment etc. (2) To relief of famine and poverty of internal displaced families in Somalia, due to the civil war and/or floods.

TO PROVIDE RELIEF TO THOSE IN NEED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD BY REASONS OF POVERTY, FAMINE, NATURAL DISASTERS, WAR, YOUTH, AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGES.

(a) the provision of medical aid, necessary for the provision of medical treatment and rehabilitation for those who are victims of war.(b) delivering or facilitating training for medical and other healthcare professionals working, or intending to work, in Ukraine; and(c) supporting and facilitating the reconstruction of existing (and the development of new) healthcare facilities in Ukraine.

Christmas collections; Running Stalls at local Fairs; Helping local Charities financially & with running events [non-financial]; Helping local schools [eg School Governors, Interview training for pupils]; International emergency relief usually with RIBI (our national body within Rotary International). Financial support to Darrick Wood School Nepal, sponsored by Darrick Wood School Orpington.

To assist in the maintenance, repair, restoration, preservation, improvement, beautification and reconstruction for the benefit of the public the fabric of the church known as St Mary's Parish Church, St Neots, Cambridgeshire, its monuments, fixtures, fittings, furniture, stained glass, ornaments and other chattels and its churchyard so as to assist the Parochial Church Council

Joint fund raising activities by the Rotary clubs of Northampton for the benefit of local charities and for relief for victims of natural disasters, home or abroad, including medical aid towards eliminating diseases.

Arranging eye cataract operations for poor people.Providing winter cloths/blankets for poor and needy.Helping poor and bright students.Helping people affected by natural disasters.Making donations to Sightsavers,Redcross,Save the Children,Leukaemia,Mildmay Mission Hospital,NSPCC ,Concern Worldwide ,Novo Jiban,MCWAS and others.

To provide relief for those affected by famine, drought, disasters and poverty.

The principal charities and/or community services currently supported are Garden House Hospice for North Hertfordshire, Mary's Meals (Uganda), Home Start , and Disaster Relief generally.

Humanitarian Aid

Providing donations for various good causes both locally (i.e. Senior Citizens festive parties, schools and churches) nationally (financial support for hospices, hospitals, etc.) internationally ( Eye camps, water aid, disaster funds etc.) by fund raising activities from a Christmas Float collection, easter egg draw in local pubs, annual charity golf tournament and Teddy Bear draw in local pubs.

Helping Nepali communities become more resilient through the rebuilding of houses and schools affected by natural disasters, through the provision of quality education and disaster risk reduction training.

Charitable work in the community especially for the elderly including dementia sufferers & their carers and young people and also fund raising for local charities. Through Rotary International we are involved in the provision of services elsewhere in the world including disaster areas through the provision of Shelter and Emergency boxes, polio eradication, shoe boxes for under-privileged children.

Supplying specific boxed kits of new tools namely, Carpenter, Builder, Mechanic, Blacksmith, Tailor/seamstress and Teacher to regenerate areas after disasters and also to be used for the training of young people to help sustain a community.

Provide resources to local charities and organisations. Also assistance, on request to national and international disasters.

We operate in Kenya. We aim to improve the lives of the people. We have successfully raised funds and built a fresh water supply for the village of Mariakani which was commissioned in December 2020. We have also sent fees for education for the local children, a full shipping container of goods, and humanitarian aid for fifteen young women in a hostel in Meru.

Provision of overseas aid in the form famine relief to the general public by the delivering of grants to individuals or organisations.

Bromsgrove Lions Club (CIO) serves their community and helps people internationally. They work with children, the elderly and those disabled and/or disadvantaged, benefiting those helped, and the wider community, making it a better place to live and work. They also make grants to national and international appeals (eg. relieving poverty, responding to disasters, or helping disabled people).

ASSISTING PLATEAU STATE COMMUNITIES WITH HEALTH AND OR MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS. PROVISION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS TO HOSPITALS AND HEALTH CENTRES IN PLATEAU STATE. PURCHASE AND DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS SUCH AS TEXTBOOKS, COMPUTERS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL AIDS TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN THE STATE. THE PURCHASE AND DISRIBUTION OF RELIEF MATRIALS TO VICTIMS OF DISASTER IN THE STATE.
