The Principal activity is that of Surf Life Saving

UKRO is dedicated to advancing professional rescue focusing on five rescue areas including vehicle extrication; trauma management; rope rescue; urban search and rescue (USAR) and water rescue. Our aim is to develop, enhance and promote the rescue capabilities of firefighters to ultimately reduce unintentional injuries and deaths that can result from these types of incidents in the UK and abroad.

Maintain a fully operational fire brigade under contract to Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service. Members carry out their duties entirely on a voluntary basis. Members are trained in the same way and assessed in exactly the same way as whole time and On-call colleagues . We are available 24 hours a day seven days a week to answer emergency calls. We work the On-call duty system.

Chaudhry Foundation has been providing poverty relief mainly across Pakistan and the subcontinentby donating funds towards caring for orphans, widows, providing nutritious foodand water, healthcare, delivering emergency aid for the refugee crisis and continuededucation for young children.

We organise various fundraising activities to enable us to support local, national and international charitable causes and projects. As a part of Rotary International we also support their worldwide disaster relief work.

The preservation repair maintenance improvement upkeep and reconstruction of Churches in the County of Cambridge and or monuments fittings fixtures stained glass furniture ornamments and chattels in such Churches. The Trust's predominant activity is the award of loans and grants to churches to assist with the cost of works falling within the foregoing description.

The teaching of water and beach safety, and training to qualification standards for surf lifeguarding. Search and Rescue activities through lifeguarding of local beaches.

The Royal Life Saving Society is the Commonwealth's largest drowning prevention and water safety awareness organisation carrying out it's activities via education, lifesaving, lifeguard,first aid and resuscitation training.

SULSAR operates under a Service Level Agreement with Suffolk Police. The primary role is to support the police in the search for missing vulnerable people by the provision and maintenance of a trained Search And Rescue team to operate primarily (but not by way of limitation) in Suffolk and the surrounding areas. NSARDA Suffolk search dogs are an integral part of SULSAR.

Providing a safe environment to teach and coach swimming regardless of age or ability. Swimmers progress at their own pace. As well as teaching a life saving skill we also provide our swim family with a strong message for team work and respect for each other and their coaches. We encourage our swimmers to pass on their knowledge leading to many becoming coaches themselves.

The Orchestra made up of police officers, police staff and other members of the extended police family each year performs at different venues around the country raising money for a number of different charities. A mini tour of India took place in February 2008. Charity Concerts included Warwick Arts Centre for Fighting Blindness and the annual Proms Concert at Symphony Hall in December.

Income from property,owned by the trust,used for Overseas aid/famine relief and Religious activities.

We encourage a Christian partnership with the Church in Papua New Guinea in its mission of preaching, teaching and healing. We assist by raising funds, giving technical advice and facilitating interaction between our two communities.We also send funds to deal with emergencies such as the disruption caused by earthquakes and volcanoes.

Helping lost, vulnerable or injured people on Dartmoor.

The centre provides services for the community in the south of Manchester.Facilities are open to the public all day. It caters for the daily prayers, language classes and community meetings and social occasions. There are regular weekly study circles for men, women and children. Public Relations: The centre has also been active in liasing with Manchester City Council and Greater Manchester Police.
