Saving of lives Charities

We provide aid to those who are most in need around the world by tackling poverty, changing lives and answering the calls of those in need. Currently we are raising funds for COVID 19, humanitarian aid, orphan sponsor, build a well in 3rd world country, food distribution, Quran distribution, build Islamic schools/ mosques, refugees/ homeless, and appeal for Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Nigeria and more.

General Charitable purposes, raising money to support Youth, Disabled, Elderly and others in need of financial help or financial help in overcoming physical needs within our local area. We also raise money within the local area to help disaster relief, locally,nationally and internationally, under the umbrella of Lions Clubs International.

The trustees meet twice a year to consider requests from individuals and charities living or operating in the counties of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Their objectives will be in community projects, education, medical, health, disability, poverty relief and emergency aid.Please submit applications by email to Liz Williams in January and February or July and August.

The charity conducts Christian worship services open to the public at Stoke Ash Baptist Church. It teaches the Christian gospel from the Bible to children, young people and people of all ages through a variety of activities. It provides pastoral care to people. It supports other Christian organisations that teach the Christian gospel and/or donates funds for humanitarian aid.

We provide support to relieve financial hardship amongst ambulance, police or fire service personnel injured in the course of duty (and the families and dependants of such personnel) and at the Trustees' discretion to those injured in any other circumstances and through grants awarded to support projects of existing Emergency Services focused Charities.

The charity is involved in christian education and training, relief of poverty, overseas aid/famine relief, through the mechanism of Bible study, prayer, fellowship and financial giving. Those in need are helped practically and encouraged to bring their lives into alignment with God's purposes through christian discipleship.Each member is valued as a minister.

Drayton Grange Community Association is the business name for the management committee that manages Nene Hall.The aim of DGCA is to provide premises at a hire rate that is affordable and attractive to all users, while maintaining and improving the facilty. Regular users:- Nursery; Ballet; Ukulele; Weightwise; Church; St John Ambulance; Romanian classes; Action for Children.

Pen-Y-Bont Surf Life Saving Club objectives include the following:-saving lives and improving safety standards-promoting, educating, and improving lifesaving techniques, resuscitation and first aid-encouraging young people to participate in lifesaving as a voluntary public service-encouraging the highest standard of teamwork and responsibility-being as diverse as possible to our members

Caterham, Oxted & Godstone Lions raise funds within the Tandridge DC area by organising events such as Barn Dances, Quizzes, Dinner Evenings, Music Concerts as well as collecting from the public with a Christmas float and catering at local fetes. The Lions Club supports local needy causes in their community including flood victims, Caterham Food Bank, St Catherine's Hospice and KSSA Ambulance.

Sussex Search and Rescue is the primary volunteer resource used by Sussex Police in the search and rescue of vulnerable missing people. We are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and are fully approved by Sussex Police policy. SusSAR is staffed purely by volunteers, who as well as covering the whole of Sussex, can also be called out to assist other Search and Rescue groups throughout the UK.

Inshore lifeboat providing a rescue service both at sea and along the shoreline in the vicinity of Runswick Bay. Also providing training and safety awareness to crew members.

SWAP Rehabilitation and Resettlement assists potentially homeless prison leavers and homeless offenders referred by Probation and Police Prolific Offender Team.Our Change of Lifestyle Program, addressing mental health and drugs/alcohol addiction, assists the transition from prison to successful community living. Our education projects are helping those with little/no education to build confidence.

The Purpose of the Club is to provide sporting, vocational and recreational opportunities in lifesaving and surf lifesaving in the St Austell and mid-Cornwall area, through coaching, training and education.

Dorset Search & Rescue are a team of highly trained volunteers who provide additional personnel & resources to the Police & other statutory agencies in the search & recovery of "Vulnerable" missing persons

It also provides technical advice and assistance for trade unions in developing countries and supports campaigns on rights and entitlements of workers.

We provide sporting & recreational activities to children & adults including table tennis, martial arts, . room hire for public and private meetings such as the Over 50's Computer Club, Irish Dancing, Over 55 luncheon club, toddles group councillors surgery and residents group. A local history group meet at the Club. A Church Group uses the building on Sunday mornings.

This charity is run for the benefit of young people & children in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. It provides funds for individuals & groups. The maximum age limit for beneficiaries is 18 and the charity is principally for those with a link to the City but any appropriate request which falls within the charity guidelines will be considered.
