Saving of lives Charities

The charity applies the funds of the trust for the benefit of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, RNLI and Royal Air Force. The charity awards grants to these charitable institutions, at the trustee's discretion.

Providing aid to those in need in the UK and other parts of the world. To relieve financial hardship, distress, and suffering among poorer people, homeless persons, victims of natural disasters.To advance education for the benefit of the poor in less developed parts of the world

Advancement of citizenship by: * Promoting the principles of good citizenship*Encouraging members to take interest in civic,cultural,social and moral welfare of the community.*promoting volunteering and the voluntary sector for public benefit.*Relief of poverty and for those in needthrough humanitarian aid and disaster relief* Promoting community participation through fund raising .

General fund raising to assist local, national and international charities. Support is given to disasters overseas (Tsunami for example), to local hospices, day centres for the elderly, youth work (Scouts and Guides etc).

To provide trained first response volunteers to attend medical emergencies as directed by the East Midlands Ambulance Service, prior to the arrival of a fast response vehicle or ambulance.To educate the general public by providing training in basic life support.To the provision and maintenance of community funded defibrillators.To provide first aid cover at local community events.

To maintain the village hall by fundraising and put on events for the local community (eg bingo, skittles, quiz nights, dog training ). We also put on events to fund raise for other charities such as Air Ambulance, MacMillan, etc. The hall is also used by the Parish council and as a polling station

TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING BY MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, RESTORATION, PRESERVATION, IMPROVEMENT AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE CHURCH OF ST PETER & ST PAUL AND THE CHURCH OF HOLY TRINITY CHARLTON WANTAGE IN OXFORDSHIRE, THEIR MONUMENTS, FIXTURES, FITTINGS, FURNITURE, STAINED GLASS, ORNAMENTS AND OTHER CHATTELS AND ITS CHURCHYARD.

We exist for the purpose of organising regular Christian worship in Sweffling and for maintaining the fabric of our historic parish church. We contribute financially to Christian mission in the UK and to overseas aid/famine relief.

GOLD IS A CHRISTIAN CHARITY THAT REACHES OUT IN COMPASSION TO ALL THOSE IN NEED REGARDLESS OF THEIR BELIEFS OR BACKGROUND.

Provide Surf Life Saving Service and Associated Training Facilities. Recreation, fitness and health through life saving and its associated activities.

TO PROVIDE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR 999 EMERGENCY CALLS,PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF PARAMEDIC/AMBULANCE CREW.

Supply provisions of Aid to any part of the world for the vulnerable. Raising funds to achieve the objects our on going work and to help build orphanages, schools, medical centres, clean waterplants.To run land convoys from UK to parts of the world which require rebuilding from any kind of devastation where innocent people are left in pain and in need of humanitarian Aid to help shape their lives.

Providing trained volunteer Community First Responders to attend life-threatening medical emergencies in partnership with East Midlands Ambulance Service. Advancing knowledge of basic life support skills, including CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator within the communities we serve.

Giving grants for prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship in third world countries to charities carrying out projects giving food, clothes, shelter and education to poor widows and orphans.The relief of financial need and suffering among victims of natural or other kinds of disaster in the form of money (or other means deemed suitable) for persons, bodies, organisations.

TO ASSIST THE POLICE, MOUNTAIN RESCUE TEAMS, OR ANY OTHER ORGANISATION INVOLVED IN THE SEARCH AND RESCUE OF PERSONS MISSING OR OVERDUE, IN SITUATIONS WHICH WILL BENEFIT FROM THE USE OF AIR-SCENTING OR TRAILING SEARCH DOGS, OPERATING PRIMARILY IN THE UPLAND AREAS OF ENGLAND.

Partners UK works to raise awareness and funding for people affected by conflict and oppression. We operate in Myanmar and surrounding countries and the Middle East to provide support through:Emergency Relief; food, medicine, and essential supplies.Development; agriculture and animal husbandry.Marginalised people; care for children in refugee camps.Capacity building; support for education

COPS is a community action charity. FIREFIGHTERS supports people in crisis in the community via telephone support, feeds the homeless, befriends isolated and elderly people and supports disenfranchised people in need. THE NAKED TRUTH helps churches support trauma and abuse victims. BLACK AND BLUE works to build relations between the local authority police and black community and promote equality.

CREDITON LIONS CLUB PROVIDES FINANCIAL AND SERVICE SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS AND OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS IN THE CREDITON AREA. THE CLUB DONATES TO LIONS INTERNATIONAL TO HELP WITH EMERGENCY AND DISASTER APPEALS

The Group are made up of volunteers trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service. They respond to 999 calls and administer medical aid until the arrival of a paramedic/ambulance. The Group covers Gnosall and surrounding villages.
