Responding to medical emergencies, as First Responders in support of the NWAS.Providing automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), free of charge to selected organisations within the area of benefit.Arranging and supporting emergency life support (ELS) training, free of charge to the general public in the area of benefit.

Provides a venue for the following activities: - Pre- School, Carpet Bowls, Pilates, Tai Chi, Zumba, Table Tennis, Horticultural Society, BUDS and Dance classes for Children.Contact point in case of emergencies/disaster in local area.

To train volunteers drawn from Christian churches of different denominations to provide a listening ear and practical help to the socially marginalised and the needy. We typically patrol the streets of Newbury on Friday and Saturday nights and work in partnership with the police, local councils and a range of voluntary and statutory organisations in order to reach and help all those in need.

To promote humane behaviour towards retired police (and other) dogs by providing financial assistance to the owners of those dogs (or those who have charge of them) to support the dogs care and attention.

The prevention and relief of financial hardship among those suffering from the consequences of economic & social deprivation, wars & conflicts, or natural disasters in the UK and less developed countries overseas, especially Afghanistan, through the provision of items, services, and grants, in coordination with individuals and local organisations as well as promotion of education in rural areas.

The Club operates locally. Individuals, Groups, and Charities are eligible for Grants . The Club also subscribes to LCI Disaster Fund. Collaboration and liaison with schools, surgeries, hospital, clubs, charities and agencies ensure promotion of good citizenship. Fundraising includes annual Fun Run, Fun Swim, Golf Day, Easter Egg Raffle, and collections. Social events also generate extra funds.

We built our own 'Bethany Children's Home' which can accommodate up to 20 children in Dhading, Central Nepal. As well as providing a home and family, we also fund their education and job training so they can have independent futures.We also support a number of local village projects, including fresh water supply, local schools, health clinic and community centre, plus disaster relief efforts.

To care for, listen to, and talk with, people on the streets of Abingdon at night; to work alongside Thames Valley Police to help to create a positive atmosphere for those having a night out, by offering help to individuals, especially the young and vulnerable, and by providing practical assistance where required to keep people safe until they return home.

Our charity's activities to raise funds include, Holding a annual music quiz, which includes the drawing of our Valentines raffle. We also hold a summer fayre hosted by one of our committee members in her garden. We also hold a Christmas market & we take part in the annual 'Elf Walk' arranged by one of the employees at our local Police headquarters. All funds go towards helping TNBC sufferers.

The Charity raises awareness of the plight of those in Ukraine, and those who call Ukraine their home, and endeavours to gather humanitarian aid for free distribution to those in need.

Our charity supplements and supports the main activities of our parent rotary club and in particular our community service committee. We seek to make donations both to worthy local charities and to worldwide rotary international projects. In addition we also provide funds to assist in international disaster relief either directly or through the overall rotary family as a matter of priority.
