Saving of lives Charities

To advance the Christian faith, through having a place for worship, gathering for worship and the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of Christian festivals, producing and/or distributing literature to enlighten others about God and the church of Jesus Christ. Help in distributing aid in areas struck by disaster.

In coordination with the local police and the town CCTV operations we run patrols on Saturday nights in the town of Stamford, assisting those in difficulty between 9.30pm and 4am. There are further patrols for special events such as the town's fair week in early March and during festivals etc. We also publicise our work in a variety of forums.

The relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of good health within the Staffordshire area by provision of trained first response volunteers, to attend medical emergencies as directed by West Midlands Ambulance Service.

We raise fund for the less privilege, support disaster relief, and organize relationship seminars.

Education/Training. The museum is established to show how the Essex Police developed from its inception since 1840 until the present time. This is provided by access to the collection by the public when the museum is open and also by special arrangement. Education via the school curriculum.

A foundation to provide for relief of people involved in the sport of drag racing, a branch of motorsport, who have need of financial support through injury, accident or financial circumstance, including organisations that operate in drag racing but also for the public benefit, for instance the air ambulance services operating for the various counties in which the sport takes place.

The principal objective of the charity is to undertake fundraising activities and to distribute the monies raised to a range of local charitable organisations, to Rotary Foundation and through Rotary International and Rotary District appeals, to a range of projects including world disasters and famine relief.

Provide feeding centres, donate educational materials to schools, donate medical equipments to hospitals, help build houses for displaced Kenya, provide education maintenance allowances for students from poor backgrounds, provide bursaries, build wells in draught stricken areas and provide relief materials such as food and clothings for Kenyans in times of disasters

We hold functions and collections to provide financial assistance where need or disasters arise.

Hungerford Rotary Club is an active member of Rotary International and is a strong supporter of the community, with active links to schools in the area and to organisations such as the Town Council, St. John's Ambulance, Chain Voluntary Service and many others. We also support national and international charitable causes.

We raise money all year round by way of disco's, film nights, 100 club, annual fete and raffle. We also have collections for the air ambulance.

Providing self-employment opportunities with start-up machinery and advice for families with talented children currently in education.Providing educational needs for children with special needs, providing educational support for children in need in rural schools, and for children after natural disasters to help getting back to school.

The relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually, of people living in third world countries or Eastern Europe by making grants of money for providing or paying for items, services or facilities especially in cases of an emergency (health, housing, temporary unemployment) where an event occurs leaving persons with short term needs.

Donate clothes and money to the people who suffered by natural and accidental disasters.

Relieving or preventing financial hardship or suffering to any widow widower or dependent of a deceased person occasioned by the death as the direct result of an accidentto any person at any time employed at Lofthouse Colliery or at any other colliery in the area of the Yorkshire Coalfield.In

We promote the conservation, protection and understanding of badgers, their setts and habitats in Oxfordshire and elsewhere. Activities include recording badger setts/ sightings and reporting wildlife crime. We provide a badger rescue service. We liaise with professionals, the public to resolve badger issues. We train volunteers and offer education. We own and manage a small ancient wood.

We are a group of volunteers that respond to 999 calls from the Ambulance Service. The calls we receive are to incidents in the Rugby Area. We respond in our own cars at our own expense but we a have a team car that has Ambulance Livery but no Blues and Twos.We have to maintain,fuel and Insure this car out of own fundraising.We have received professional training from the Ambulance Service.

The club exists to promoting water safety, teach lifesaving skills and offer beach and water based training to improve fitness and allow participation in surf life saving sporting events.
