We were constituted in June 1981 with the principal object of providing services and facilities for the well being of the elderly in our catchment area; comprising Lunch Club (three days), keep fit, genealogy, ceramic painting, befriending service for the vulnerable elderly living in the Cowplain ward and its surrounds.

The Almshouse Trust provides accommodation for elderly people on limited income and provides well-being support and benefit in such a manner as the Trustees think fit from time to time.

Provide subsidised respite holidays for eligible people or families

Previously registered as Mji wa Neema the charity changed its name in November 2015 to Saidia Children's Charity (Kenya). The charity raises funds for AIDS orphans in the Naivasha and Gilgil area of Kenya. The new orphanage building was completed in Jan 2008, financed almost entirely by this charity. We also support other projects in the area for work amongst children.

Our aim is to freely distribute Bibles/Christian literature for the honour and glory of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, in obedience to the great commission (Mark 16. 15, 2 Timothy 2. 2). We aim to show compassion to those in need (James 1. 27). Bibles and books are freely distributed in Africa and Asia, with support to an orphanage in Asia.

To provide a place of worship for the Hindu Community, hold Hindu festivals and offer full facilities to all shades of thought within the Hindu religion.To advance education in Hindu Culture by offering facilities for reading, social and cultural activities.To provide day care to the elderly and community facilities for the local community.

The objects of the Henley-On-Thames Day Centre are to provide the welfare of the aged in any manner. To manage a day centre and the members be known as Henley 60 Plus Social Club.

Supporting the work of Rehoboth Children's Home in the Philippines.

Stepping Stones (AMBER VALLEY) is a Day Care & Community Centre situated in Heanor, Derbyshire. The Day Care Centre caters for the over 50 + age group; (i.e. Older Adult /Elderly, social, physical & psychological type conditions / illnesses. Steppings Stones has an 'open door' policy. The Centre is open Monday to Friday. All referrals welcomed from health professionals & from individuals.

The charity runs and maintains the community centre known as 'Heathlands'. The centre holds events which include pre school events, youth club, adult sports, local clubs and a day centre for the elderly. It is available resource for the local community. Outside the centre is a large grassed field used for outside events. Local and visiting football teams use an ajoining second field regularly.

Basingstoke & District Young Carers provides respite support to children and young people aged 8- 18.in the form of weekly young carers clubs or activities. Information, advice and guidance is provided to the children, young people and their families through either: school based sessions, 1-2-1 sessions, parent support groups or family activities.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CHARITY ARE:TO PROMOTE THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY (MENTAL HANDICAP) IN THE AREAS CURRENTLY COVERED BY THE COUNTIES OF CARDIFF AND THE VALE OF GLAMORGAN.THE MAIN ACTIVITIES ARE THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION FOR CARERS AND FAMILIES AND REPRESENTING CARERS' VIEWS AT PLANNING MEETINGS IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT UNPAID CARERS' VIEWS ARE REPRESENTED.

Provision and maintenance of a group of 8 dwelling houses for the use of older women of limited means and in need of semi-sheltered housing.

Raise funds for the benefit of Crowborough Hospital, its patients and staff; maintain a hospital shop, operate a Social Day Service at the Hospital Day Centre, and provide transport through 2 wheelchair accessible vehicles utilising volunteer drivers.

The charity engages in 2 activities: 1) raising funds within the UK and 2) creating businesses in Western Kenya that will allow the Children?s Centre to become sustainable for its day-to-day running costs. The centre cares for around 300 orphans and needy children, providing primary and secondary education. The children live on site or with extended local family groups and are fed and cared for.

To relieve the needs of people in care homes within the unitary boroughs of Bedford, Central Beds. and Luton or any area previously defined as being within Bedfordshire by any or all of the following:(i) developing schemes for befriending residents(ii) assisting care homes in meeting the spiritual needs of residents, in particular to help them in meeting their statutory requirements.

ZAMCOG provides grants in support of the education and care of orphans and vulnerable children, principally at schools in the Kabwe area, Zambia. The charity funds primary and secondary education, care homes for children to provide a secure living environment, transition housing for students in gap years, a feeding programme for those most in need and sponsor tertiary education and training.
