Maji Mazuri UK exists to support the work of Maji Mazuri in Kenya, including a Youth Group, Teenz Group and Nursery School in Mathare Valley slums in Nairobi and a residential home for disabled, orphaned and HIV positive children.

Aston House is a purpose built 48 bedded care home offering Dementia, Nursing, Respite and End of Life care. The home also provides specialist care for young people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. The Friends aim to improve the quality of life of the residents of the care home by working with staff, residents and relatives

Improving orphanages in Bulgaria, providing educational material and recreational opportunities for orphans in Bulgaria. This is achieved by taking building teams and activities teams from the UK and providing funds where necessary for the improvement of facilities.

DAY CENTRE

THE CHARITY IS ESTABLISHED FOR ELDERLY PERSONS IN LAMBETH AND ALL ADJOINING BOROUGHS, PARTICULARLY FROM THE ASIAN COMMUNITY, TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS; TO ADVANCE EDUCATION; TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT HEALTH; AND TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID PERSONS

We provide companionship, nourishment, entertainment and care for ten elderly people who have been referred to us by Cheshire West & Chester Social Services. They meet every Thursday at Farndon Memorial Hall. Transport each way is provided by registered volunteers.

Supporting Carers of people in the Ringwood area with physical, mental, or sensory impairment or illness, or incapacity through old age, by holding coffee mornings, days-out and luncheon-groups, promoting their needs with relevant agencies and disseminating information.

Providing hardship support to families on low incomes.Supporting children who are leaving care.Supporting trips and activities for individuals and groups.

Our overall aim is to support people living with dementia and their carers in St. Helens. We have a monthly Carers' Support group for both Carers and person with dementia. Monthly Drop in Sessions offering information, advice and signposting to appropriate services. Training i.e.dementia awareness training to local Care homes. Facilitated Sonas aPc (activating potential for communication).

Currently the charity raises money through it`s shop premises to provide grants to disabled people with families.This can also cover direct help to the carers where they need help with a break/holiday or any other support that may be available e.g advise.Those with internet can click onto the charity web site ,read what others say and enter their owns views.There is also a holiday home for carers.

The charity has been actively involved in raising awareness of the issues affecting vulnerable children in Cote D'Ivoire building relationship with a school in Zikisso and an orphanage in the Dimbokro and collecting clothes, toys, shoes and other items to ship to the organisations on the ground. The organisation has also recruited volunteers in Coventry to organise and run fundraising events.

The GFCA is an independent charity operated by foster carers, for foster carers.Collaborating with Greenwich Fostering Service and foster carers working for the Royal Borough of Greenwich, we offer a robust service, comprising but not limited to tailored support and advocacy for foster carers and providing emotional and wellbeing support to foster carers and looked after children.

Friends of Grove House, are a charity who help young disabled children.Grove House is a respite home for disabled children ages 6 years to 18 years, recently their minibus, was removed from them by local council, Friends of Grove House fundraised to buy then another one, this has now been achieved, and we are now working on making their large garden, wheelchair accessible. We are from Gateshead.
