Bereavement support

To promote education and to preserve and protect the good health of children and young people who have lost a close relative or loved one through death or relationship breakdown or who have suffered a significant loss through other adverse circumstances.

In addition to our Church services, we hold regular events in our Community Hall to which all are welcome. These include drop-in coffee, tea and chat mornings, monthly soup & roll lunch, a Mothers Union led friendship group, a luncheon club for the less able in the parish, a bereavement support group and a Baby & me support group. FAB camps provide a full programme of adventurous activities for bereaved military families, including a variety of children's activities. All activities are conducted by fully insured, qualified and professional instructors using national standards of protection and safety equipment.

We run a bereavement counselling service for adults and children in the London Borough of Islington, and a Cold Weather Shelter for the homeless over the winter months. The latter operates out of 8 local churches, one for each day of the week.
