Grants are approved by the committee and temporary help can be given if the need is urgent. We give priority to ladies who are trying to maintain their own home although we also help towards a shortfall in care home fees.

Supports disadvantaged children in need by 121 weekly meetings of 2/3 hours with an 'older friend', who is a volunteer. The child may have their own problems or the child may be in a family or care, that make it more difficult for the child to thrive. Aim is to improve the child's self esteem, allow them to have some fun and build confidence, plus widen their experience in a safe supported way.

The Joseph Rank Benevolent Fund was set up in 1934 to help the poor elderly in Hull. Beneficiaries are retired and receive pension credit. At the Trustees discretion, donations are also made to Hull based charities in December.

Derby Kids' Camp is a 100% volunteer-run charity providing FREE holidays for some of Derby's most deserving young children. To relieve, in cases of need, hardship or distress, persons who are or have been engaged in the footwear trade and their widows, widowers and other dependants.

The charity provides accommodation for the elderly in ten bungalows or flats. It also provides grants to organisations and individuals.
