Social events and outings for benefits of disabled members

Promotes integrity of village life by organising occasional village social events and by providing a forum for village discussion and representation. Holder of Village communal Fund. In addition, the committee whilst not currently pursuing this matter, will on occasion monitor the viability of a new village hall and will engage the village in any future developments.

A presentation each month from a speaker covering a range of subjects such as history, science, environmental issues etc. Social activities such as flower arranging, games, sporting activities. Fund raising activities such as quiz evenings.

We have 2 sessions per week. One afternoon and one evening for the social interaction of Draycott senior citizens. We have bingo, tea and biscuits. We also have occasional social events, such as a buffet tea or a meal out.

To provide the residents of Dunmow with a friendship group so that they can spend time in the company of others. We meet for a social evening of games and live entertainment to provide physical and social recreation for our residents, promoting good mental health wellbeing and minimise risk of social isolation.

The purpose of Test Valley School PTA is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. This is done through fundraising to provide facilities, equipment and opportunities for the children and holding social events to develop relationships between staff, pupils, parents and others in the school.

The Village Hall is used for social events within the local community and offers facilities for private hire and local Council meetings.

We hold regular free educational meetings for members where Speakers talk on a variety of subjects. These meetings are also open to visitors of any gender on payment of a small fee. Our premises are available to hire at a nominal rate for various village activities. Our free of charge seasonal "Warm Room" and our "Welcome Cafe" provide space for friendship and conversation.
