The W.I. offers opportunities for all women to enjoy friendship, to learn, to widen their horizons and together to influence local, national and international affairs.

The promotion of social inclusion and equality and diversity for transgender people in the Nottinghamshire region, who are often socially excluded due to prejudice and historic injustice. This is delivered through provision of support groups, other support events and small targeted grants to those experience financial hardship associated with their circumstances.

We enjoy social and educational meetings and offer friendship to any women in the villages, particularly those new to the area. We provide a visible presence, helping in the local community and also operating a small walking group open to any local women. We fundraise for local charities and take responsibility for making the villages more visually attractive by planting tubs + containers.

Hawcoat Community Centre is for the use of the general public to hire, it also houses a Pre-School every morning during term time & also is used by several groups and societies such as a mother & toddler group, whist drives, Barrow Savoyaurds, keep fit classes, craft classes and activities, Barrow Townswomens Guild & a Friendship club. We also hold fundraising events for the charity.

Superpeople are a charity with the aim to promote social inclusion among disabled people who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of being disabled, in particular but not exclusively by the production of videos that promote individual achievements of disabled people.

The Friends of Brading Roman Villa is the volunteer support group working in partnership with the Oglander Roman Trust, Reg No 1044506, which owns the Villa site. Our volunteers provide guides whose knowledge contributes to the visitor experience at the Villa. They also help deliver the Villa programme of educational and social events for families and children.

A rural youth movement for members aged between 10-26 years. YFC offers young people the opportunity to gain skills and confidence in public speaking, sports, cultural skills like dancing, drama, entertainments, pantomime and stockjudging, skills for life, training, social events and meetings.

We provide a once a week psycho-geriatric day club at a hired venue in Willenhall. This is to support elderly people (over 50) who are frail or withdrawn as the result of mental, pyschological or physical illness or disability and for whom socialising is an important route to improved health.

Local Women's Group providing educational and social activities for its members

We are a friendly sailing club for disabled, special needs sailors together with their families and carers. We sail specially built boats that don't capsize and are exciting to sail. We organise a fund raising events to pay for our insurance and other costs and have extra social events i.e. a day sailing on a yacht or a pub lunch.

The village hall provides a space for community social events. Other activities for which the hall is used include table tennis, tai chi and youth club. The hall is also available to hire as a camping barn for groups of 2 to 15 people.

Provision of facilities for general social activities for the community.

The Charity provides a place for the elderly, sick or disabled to meet for companionship and entertainment for two hours every month. We also take some on an annual outing to a local place of interest. We provide information about services available to help them and work with the local medical practice on social prescribing. We also offer exercise classes for the over 50s.

Advance Christian religion by means of broadcasting Christian messages of an evangelistic and teaching nature for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and distributing literature on Christian religion.Relief of poverty and promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit.

The charity exists to support Adults with Learning Disabilities attending CARLTON Centre, and as agreed, in the local Community. It organizes fund raising and social activities for members, their families and carers. Money raised is used to support the Centre, and centre groups, as agreed. All Carers and Parents are Members and membership is open to all who can support the Friends activities.
