African Child Trust (ACT) is working to relieve poverty among disadvantaged children and women-led households in Africa. We are educating children and orphans and empowering widows and women-in-need through training and income generation for sustainable livelihood to support their families. We are engaging UK youths in global citizenship awareness and international development experience.

The Edward Holt Trust operates across Greater Manchester. Its principal activity is maintaining Holt House in Didsbury, which provides accommodation for older people with limited means. Recently the Trust has sought ways to have a more strategic impact on disadvantaged people in the area by assisting a number of homelessness projects with capital funds and other support costs.

The Charity's activities revolve around freehold properties in Kingsbridge. The Town Hall and Market Hall are hired out to various local charities, churches, clubs and societies. The Charity also provides social rented housing to residents of Kingsbridge who would otherwise be unable to find affordable housing in the town. Christ Church Central Leeds is a Church based in the City of Leeds. It's activities seek to advance the Christian faith, in accordance with the Charity's Statement of Beliefs in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the charity trustees from time to time may think fit. The general aim of the charity is to assist the disabled, special needs, the disadvantaged and other sports men, women or children where their talents have been overlooked.

Provides face to face counselling and support for women aged thirteen and over who have experienced rape or sexual abuse recently or in the past.

The Poverty Truth Network supports local groups to establish new Poverty Truth Commissions across the UK; nurtures the work of local commissions; provides a strategic national response to factors that contribute to poverty that consistently emerge from the local commissions; and engages with a wider movement of organisations and programmes that seek to alleviate poverty in all its forms.

Home-Start Arun, Worthing & Adur is a voluntary home-visiting scheme committed to offering friendship and promoting the welfare of families with young children, to alleviate stress and conflict in their home and help to prevent family breakdown. Volunteers are recruited and trained to enable them to support families in their own homes and at Family Groups.

Improving women and girls mental health & emotional wellbeing. Providing targeted support for those affected by mental ill health, domestic abuse, inequality, poverty, isolation and loneliness. Counselling : Befriending; Holistic Therapies and Advocacy to support progression and recovery. Support groups for women and girls to understand and manage depression, anxiety, loss and grief.

The trust is a grant making trust. Grants are commonly in response to appeals in support of welfare for those who are disadvantaged, young, elderly, disabled, as well as maritime and Service causes, education, training and employment opportunities, community benefit, historic buildings, the environment, music and the arts. Grants are made out of income and not normally out of capital.
