The Atlantic Council of the United Kingdom is an educational charity that promotes knowledge of the North Atlantic Treaty, NATO, and international affairs. It promotes democracy, international understanding, and the values set forth in the North Atlantic Treaty. It fosters debate and dialogue with universities, educational bodies, and the wider public.

For the advancement of education and relief of poverty of disadvantaged students (children and young people) in South Africa. EDSA is a fundraising organisation based in the UK working to provide support to impoverished children and young people in a township known as Smitsville in the Overberg, Western Cape.

Our work is better served by working to build community cohesion by bringing the community together in formal and informal gathereings.Grassroot work with young people about topics covered in training such as social inclusion, community cohesion, equality, diversity and democracy.Mustaqbill Foundation has produced a support system for parents that need support in tackling the views of extremism.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY BY THE GIVING OF A SERIES OF PUBLIC LECTURES IN KINGSTON UPON HULL

We are working to erect a statue of suffragette Mary Clarke in Brighton as a symbol of democracy and women's rights. We provide talks, information and exhibitions, all with the aim of raising awareness of the suffragettes' role in furthering democracy and equal rights for women. We work with the City Council, women's and community groups, businesses and trade unions. We have all-party support.

WPD holds regular meetings on widowhood issues at the UN Commission on the Status of Women. As the umbrella organisation for widows NGOs in conflict afflicted countries, it gathers data on the plight of widows; acts as the international focal point for regional widows' groups such as SANWED, and raises awareness on this topic with UK/EU and the UN. It also works with CEDAW.

The Centre for Democracy and Peace Research aims to support and promote academic freedom and critical knowledge production in and beyond Turkey.

Ability2Acess is dedicated to education and action research that promotes accessibility to overcome disability.It includes access to education, work, housing, leisure, sport, health provision, transport and democracy. This pioneering organisation fosters new ways of thinking and advancing knowledge through partnerships between voluntary organisations, industry, education and government.

WE PROVIDE SERVICES THAT BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY, WITHOUT PREJUDICE WORKS AT 98 PER CENT WITH DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE FROM THE BAME COMMUNITIES, IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: EMPLOYMENT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, AFTER SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, COMMUNITY INFORMATION PROVISIONS, HEALTH PROMOTIONS, GENERAL & LEGAL ADVICE, HERITAGE & CULTURE, COMMUNITY COHESION, UNDERSTANDING OF UK DEMOCRACY.

We are currently in the process of building a website and opening a bank account. We hope to begin fundraising shortly to kick start the activities of the charity.
