South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade

The Brigade provides a search and rescue back-up to HM Coastguard on a 24-hour, 365 days call-out system working in conjunction with RNLI Lifeboats and the main emergency services to help people in distress on and around the coast using SAR rescue equipment including special Land Rover fitted with a full range of search and rescue equipment and first aid facilities.
