The Society aims, within the borough of Weymouth and Portland and its surrounding area, to increase public awareness of its architecture and civic heritage, to encourage high standards of building and town planning, to preserve buldings and other features of architectural, cultural or historic significance and to acquire buildings of interest for public enjoyment.
