The presentation of choral music ( 16th - 21st century) with invited professional soloists and orchestras for the benefit of the people of the area to the highest standard our finances will allow.

Choral singing

We administer, manage and facilitate our hall for community activities and meetings, including a choir and dance classes, garden club, history group, lunch club for the elderly, the Church in Oakridge, W.I. etc. The trust holds fundraising events, Film Nights, and lets the hall for educational, community functions, family parties, children's parties, annual village show, and drama productions.

Rehearsal and performance of Choral Music in the Basildon Area.

Perform and educate and help fellow charities raise funds through choral music. The Choir performs music to a professional standard promoting its own concerts and fulfilling engagements at the request of others.

We arrange weekly rehearsal/practise sessions, procuring venue and professional musicians and arrange to perform at concerts, competitions, festivals, church services, weddings and funerals. Many of our performances help raise money for other charities.

Perform Choral Music giving approximately two concerts per season plus a Christmas Concert in Grantham. The Society is committed to encouraging young people to sing and has a Youth Choir which rehearses prior to the main choir rehearsal. Full details can be found on our website.

Rehearsing and performing choral works for the general public

The choir aims to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in an appreciation of liturgical choral music by the provision of such music for Christian Church Services and by presentation of public concerts and recitals.

The society provides accommodation and resources to enable members to receive professional tuition in the art of choral singing and study an expanding repertoire of choral music. Following such studies the society promotes and subsidises concerts employing professional soloists and orchestral players enabling local audiences to attend quality performances at affordable ticket prices. Arts/Culture Musical concerts for the benefit of the General Public. We operate in Bedfordshire - Biggleswade and surrounding villages.

The charity maintains the Hall for the benefit of local organisations and individuals for a variety of activities including Preschool, Camera Club, Horticultural Society. Choir, Scouts, Beavers, Lunch Club, Art Group and Pilates classes. The Hall is available for private parties. The Committee runs regular fund-raising events e.g. travelling theatre group.

Arts/Culture - FCC is a friendly choir of 30-35 members. We give five concerts a year in North Finchley, two of which are with Finchley Chamber Orchestra. Our adventurous repertoire covers four centuries, including a cappella works. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings and there are plenty of solo opportunities.

Performance and commissioning of choral music.

We are just a parish hall where various activities take place, serving local people such as public meetings concerts choir practice etc. We also hold annual fundraising activities to help maintain the hall.

The charity's principal activities are the once-a-week rehearsals in preparation for and the giving of public performances of major classic choral works on three occasions, normally Christmas and Easter and summer, every year. Occasionally, concerts support fundraising appeals by other charities.

Langton Herring Village Hall provides a centre for all residents to meet, socialise and exercise. It offers a suitable location for the various village clubs from Table tennis, Art, Choir, Gardening and Talks on a regular basis. It is also a regular meeting place for external groups including the Parish Council and occasional visits from the local MP.

A NON-POLITICAL, NON-SECTARIAN CHOIR WHO SEEK TO INTEREST THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OF SINGING BY PARTICIPATING AND ASSISTING IN CONCERTS AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES. THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES THE CHOIR IS ALSO ABLE, ON OCCASIONS, TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO A NUMBER OF LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS.
