Arts Charities That specialise in Choirs

Selly Park Singers is choir of some 40 members, singing a range of classical, jazz and popular music. It is a non-audition choir. It has weekly rehearsals and performs concerts once or twice a year. We are based in south Birmingham.

2 concert performances per year

Cantorion Phoenix Singers brings women together through singing. Based in Mountain Ash, RCT, we rehearse weekly to enable us to perform both free and ticketed concerts and events for the general public. We aim to provide well-being through music for our members and audiences, and to promote and continue the cultural heritage of women's choirs in Wales.

The Chanticleer Singers are based in Malton, North Yorkshire, and give concerts mainly in the Ryedale region, but have also sung in Scotland and abroad in Ireland and France.

Provides opportunity for amateur singers to train together to perform at least three concerts per year within the community. Each concert also promotes and assists with fundraising for other local charities.

Cwmbran Baroque Singers present two major concerts in Cwmbran each year and perform at other venues in the area in support of local charities.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education of the art and science of choral music of all periods with particular emphasis on early music, suitable for a choir of limited size (max 36 members) by the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

Choral singing with weekly rehearsals. Performing concerts. Participation in the Leith Hill Musical Festival.

Male Voice choir promoting public education in music by presentation of choral concerts, participation in music festivals etc. Assists members by furthering their knowledge of music, especially male chorus music. Provides practical encouragement to young musicians, both vocal and instrumental. Raises money for good causes through concerts.

Musical education & recreation. Fundraising support to other charitable bodies via concerts etc.

To Educate and Performance of choral and classical music pieces to the general public.

To promote, improve. develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and by such other means as the singers shall from time to time determine.To advance education in the arts by setting up and training a children's and youth choir to perform and entertain.

Performing concerts to raise money for charity

We perform three concerts each in venues around the London Borough of Hillingdon. Music ranges from sacred to secular . Our objects ensure that people benefit from the joint aim of making good music

The choir has 43 current members (aged 11-18) and is professionally trained for concert performances.... New members always welcome. Weekly rehearsals in Brighton area (excluding school holidays)Seven events including concerts and recordings during Y/E 31/8/19

Weekly rehearsals in Shipston on Stour for members drawn from a wide area around the town. Two annual concerts. Short visits to retirement homes in Shipston on Stour at Christmas

Stage productions of mainly Gilbert & Sulivan Comic Opers.Concert Performances of a wide range of Musical and Popular songs.Arrangement of 'Come & Sing' workshops leading to the opportunity to perform on stage with the Choir.

Provide opportunity for all members of local community to join in community activity (choral singing). Put on concerts for the local community. The charity operates in Marlborough, Wiltshire

SOUTHEND FESTIVAL CHORUS TRAINS SINGERS OF BOTH GENDERS TO PERFORM IN PUBLIC CONCERTS IN SOUTHEND & SOUTH ESSEX BY PROVIDING MUSICAL RESOURCES IN MAINLY CLASSICAL CHORAL WORKS. WE ALSO HELP IN LOCAL FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES FOR LOCAL (& OCCASIONALLY NATIONAL) CHARITIES.

To promote, develop and maintain public interest in and appreciation of choral music in all its aspects by rehearsing and giving concerts.

Encouragement of Choral Singing within the community. Weekly rehearsals throughout the year (except school holidays). Normally performing three concerts a year, using local soloist, where possible and as appropriate.

Cantus Firmus Trust provides support and training in the use of creative arts (music, dance, drama) for use in Christian worship and ministry, and presents themed events containing some or all of these elements. The expanding Cantus Firmus choir supports events and activities in North Essex and Suffolk.

Choir raises funds to advance Judaism and in particular Jewish Prayer, though participation in synagogue service; singing at public performances, in television/radio broadcasts, recordings and through other media; and for the purpose of healing through singing.
