Promotes the study of astronomy, by providing public observing sessions, lectures, advice, a journal, telescope making facilities, a library, demonstrations, lecturers, a meeting place and outings to places of astronomical interest. A modest annual membership fee is charged, the aim being to cover expenses and provide a concessionary rate for unemployed, students, and Senior Citizens.

This ancient charity is for the benefit of children and students residing in the ancient parish of South Stoke and Woodcote, who proceed through the state system of education. Children leaving primary school receive a book token, those proceeding to 6th form education receive a cheque. All at university receive a cheque every year.

Supports the work of the Norris Museum, St Ives.

We are all volunteers who record the local news on tape every week for blind persons. We read and record on a Monday evening and our listeners receive a tape the next day. We also send out a magazine on tape 4 times a year.

Each year the charity makes a substantial grant amounting to all its income to the library of York Minster for the purchase of books on theology and church histroy.

Friends of Knayton School organise fundraising events in aid of the school. We are currently raising money for sports equipment, musical instruments, books and other resources.

VMF sends children and adults clothing, educational toys,shoes,reading books, school supplies, medical consumables and equipment from the UK to Ghana to relieve poverty and to support the development of education for children and health for those living in impoverish communities throughout the year. Goods are distributed amongst the most needy regardless of age, gender, ethnicity/race, religion

Poverty alleviation projects are set up which are borough specific which help the elderly and youths improve the physical health and mental wellbeing through programmes like computer literacy, aerobic exercises, legal advice, entrepreneurship training and group exercising.

We provide advice, emotional and practical support and financial assistance to local kidney patients and their families and carers. Many of the management committee are kidney patients themselves and the trustees have a detailed understanding of the numerous problems caused by kidney disease. We are about to launch a members magazine and Internet web site (Sept 2019). We are based in Suffolk.
