We raise funds for the village school by organising activities for the children (Christmas and Summer Fairs, discos, circus visits) and for the local community (Quiz Nights). The Croydon Dyslexia Association is affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association. Our aim is to support teachers, parents, young people & children in the Croydon area who are affected by dyslexia or associated specific learning difficulties. We work closely with the Croydon SENSS team, the Borough's Library Service & we also support& liaise with a local adult dyslexia group.

The Trust works closely with Plymouth Social Isolation Forum to find novel ways to bring isolated and lonely people together at Thorn Park Lodge. It also runs recall reminiscence sessions, practical science-based workshops, helps raise children's aspirations in novel ways. It has a pharmaceutical museum, library, a medicinal garden and is planning an exciting Heritage Health Science Exploratory.

The Village Hall provides a venue for the residents of the villages of Monxton and Amport, to meet and to hold parties, film shows, and suppers, as well as using the Hall for keep fit classes, dancing classes and childrens play groups.

The taking of Children with mental disorders, terminally ill and special needs on outings to the seaside,countryside,plays,films,pantomines and supply transport needs.We also provide finance to any school, home, hospice or individual child for any object the local councils do not provide, for special wheelchair, hand bells, or audio and visual equipment.Also money to other charities.
