Choose your columns. Every file carries your account reference and the data date.
Saved searches with weekly alerts
Hear which charities joined or left your search after each weekly update, and export only the new ones.
An API on the Partner plan
The same data and rules in JSON, for your CRM or your own tools.
Contact details you can stand behind
An email address is released only when it passes three checks. Otherwise the charity stays in your results, with its contact details withheld.
- It is on the charity’s own web domain, not a free mailbox such as Gmail.
- The charity is a CIO or charitable company, not an unincorporated trust or association.
- Nobody has opted out. Named addresses are released only after we have told the person.
If a charity later opts out, every subscriber that exported its details is told the next day and has 14 days to delete them.

Questions
Is Charity Finder Data a charity database?
Yes. It covers every registered charity in England and Wales, about 171,000, from the Charity Commission register under the Open Government Licence, updated weekly. We add signals the register does not show directly, such as three-year income trends, new CIOs, cash held and year-end month.
Can I get a list of registered charities in the UK?
You can build and export any list you need from England and Wales: by area, cause, size or finances. You export what you need each month within your plan, rather than buying a one-off copy, and saved searches tell you each week what has changed.
Do you sell a charity email list?
We do not sell email lists. An email address is included only if it passes three checks: it is on the charity’s own web domain, the charity is a CIO or charitable company, and nobody has opted out. Addresses in a person’s name are released only after we have told that person and they have not objected. Free mailboxes such as Gmail, and email addresses at unincorporated charities, are withheld.
Can I use it for charity leads and marketing to charities?
Many subscribers use it to find charities to contact about their products and services. The licence sets the rules: contact charities only about their work, never sell the data on, say where you got the details when you first get in touch, and delete any contact detail we tell you has been withdrawn within 14 days. The sender is responsible for following email marketing law.
Is there an API, like a Charity Commission API?
Yes, on the Partner plan. It returns the same charities, columns and contact rules as the portal, as JSON, and counts against the same monthly allowance.
How fresh is the data?
We copy the register every week. Each row in an export carries the date of the data it came from.
Can I get a refund?
You can cancel within 14 days of a payment and get it back in full, as long as your organisation has run no more than two searches, exported nothing and saved no searches since paying. A search is a set of filters whose results you view; adjusting them within 10 seconds while setting one up does not count, up to ten times. After that, fees are not refundable. The full terms are in the licence.
