The Society exists to carry out and promote research into the local history of Ilkeston and District, and for arranging meetings, events and publications for our members and for the general public.

Croydon Contacts is a small charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Croydon to enjoy social activities in their local community. We run various events for members, staffed by volunteers & trustees, supported by carers & families. Events include Board Games; Bowling, Cinema & Lunch clubs; Summer day trips to local museums & parks; visiting local pantomimes & shows.

Supplies speakers and research help to schools, presents monthly displays and lectures, holds an annual exhibition, collects and researches information and material on local area. Wyre Forest Talking Newspaper provides weekly audio tapes of extracts from local newspapers in the Wyre Forest area of Worcestershire (Kidderminster, Stourport,Bewdley). This service is for blind and visually impaired people of the area. It is also for people for whom handling a traditional newspaper is difficult/impossible by reason of some other disability. The service is provided by volunteers

Kairos aims to support research and educational publications on the Quadrivium of the Seven Liberal Arts in particular geometry. It also encourages sensitive and hand drawn geometry as recognised in emerging Masters of the Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts. Geometry is seen in all traditional art forms as a reflection of the beauty and order of our planetary home.

Hold Gospel Crusades in various cities in The UK, Hold Regular Church services, Organise Christian Seminars, feed the homrless in West London area, and help the community in any way we can. We have weekly Christian Radio Teaching Ministry to the Northern part of Uganda. We have started holding massive yearly Gospel Crusades in Uganda.

Ross Educational Foundation offers grants to students up to the age of 25 whose homes are within the boundaries of Ross Urban or Ross Rural Parish Council. Grants are awarded for books, equipment, etc, to students following higher education courses & those learning professional or skilled trades. Students studying music & other arts may also apply.

Portsmouth Hospital Broadcasting Association broadcasts to the patients & staff of Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. The broadcasts contain local news and information as well as light entertainment.
