The Sir John Hurt Film Trust Ltd has been dedicated to using the power of the moving image for education and learning since it was founded in 1966 (as the Norfolk and Norwich Film Theatre Ltd). We are a mental health awareness and suicide prevention charity, we also support and help with the wellbeing of vulnerable people and families. We offer support via telephone, face to face, video meeting and we can also support you through counselling. We offer support from age 4 up-to 90. We run several local community groups offering support and we also have suicide prevention crisis response.

The Society exists to promote and maintain the purity of the breed, which is Wales' only native breed of cattle, and to produce a Herd Book for the traceability of cattle registered during the year.

The Charity is a Breed Society maintaining a Stud Book, is a recognised Equine Passport Issuing Organisation and seeks to foster and keep pure the Fell pony breed, and to circulate knowledge and general information about the breed. The Fell pony is recognised as a rare breed by the RBST.

Through volunteer action, The Friends works to: enhance habitat and create new habitat for wildlife at Paxton Pits; achieve expansion of the nature reserve; enhance visitor facilities and the visitor experience; promote and provide information about the Reserve and its wildlife through public events, publications and the Reserve website, and support informal and formal educational activities.

We run a Museum in the centre of Bristol, open regularly to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00am to 6.00pm. We open by request for group visits at other time. We are run entirely by volunteers.
