Promoters of live classical music concerts in Wakefield

All public performances cancelled during 2020/21 due to pandemic. Choir back to operating live rehearsals and aims to perform 3 times a year.The choir continued to sing ambitious programmes under MD Hilary Campbell.The choir is self-supporting through subscriptions, concert and fee income and HMRC Gift Aid.

The band's rehearsals are weekly. It performs at many local functions, charity events and contests. The band organizes concerts and festivals to which celebrity musicians are invited to perform. The band provides individual and group tuition for members and runs a Junior Band for this purpose. Each year junior members are encouraged to take part in the International Brass Band Summer School.

We perform Brass Band music at contests, concerts and fetes etc. We also march.

The Halifax Orchestral Society markets itself as the Halifax Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra gives three concerts per year in the Halifax, Calderdale region

KlezNorth primarily provides an annual weekend of klezmer music and dance, yiddish song, film talks and other activities related to klezmer and its Jewish roots. It is primarily a participant workshop event, though usually includes a public concert. It may also run other events in the year that promote klezmer music and dance, Yiddish song and associated cultural activities.

We rehearse during term-time to perform two or three concerts annually. In addition, some members rehearse to sing in a Christmas Carol Concert. Occasionally choir members are invited to sing at weddings or funerals, and also at a National Trust property or local hotel at Christmas time.

DONNE FOUNDATION makes positive change and addresses gender inequality in music. We celebrate and promote women who made and are still making a difference to our society to ensure there are more role models for future generations. We do that by creating events, educational material, a rich multimedia platform, which provides valuable resources including the biggest database of women composers.

The Charity provides assistance towards the cost of education,or for specialist tools or equipment necessary to pursue a vocation, or to encourage or nurture a specific talent (ie musical instrument), for young people under 25 years old, living in the qualifying areas. Exceptional talent is encouraged and assistance is considered with courses that entail exceptional expenditure.

Providing concerts and art exhibitions; promoting music; raising money for fabric of St Michael's Church, Cwmdu

As a mixed adult choir of some 50 members we sing from a wide-ranging repertoire. We perform 3 or 4 public concerts a year, encouraging young soloists and student orchestras to perform with us. We keep our ticket prices as low as possible, with free seats for children. We aim to bring the joy of music, whether performing or listening, to as wide a cross-section of the public as possible.

Baslow Choir is a mixed choir having in excess of 50 members. They perform a minimum of four concerts per year and actively encourage young and upcoming musicians to perform with them as guest artists.

Singing workshops and community music events for adults and children: Sharing Voices Project ( The Memory Notes - singing group for those with memory loss and their carers, training; Singing For Breathing - singing group for those with chronic lung health problems ); community workshops and events.

The charity is a place of worship that holds regular church services. It is a place that offers counselling and advice to members of the congregation and the local community. Activities include events such as music concerts, dramas and plays held in the local community. The church is open to the public for prayer, men's discipleship, ladies meetings and youth meetings.

The orchestra held three public concerts during the year and engaged in rehearsals for these. In addition it continued its outreach links with students at the Elmgreen School, Tulse Hill.

BOYM has 5 orchestras rehearsing during term time, run by music professionals, with performances, workshops & participation and fund-raising. We have membership fees & a discretionary grant scheme (from reduced fees to full waiver), & we run an instrument loan scheme. We engage in outreach projects & concerts for schools to encourage young people to appreciate music & try musical instruments.

Providing and operating a small traditional village hall for the benefit of local residents in Middleton and Aislaby villages.Current uses of the hall include classes for Art, Keep Fit, Sewing, Lace making.Other uses include WI and Churchmeetings, other Charity's training sessions,drama productions, exhibitions and musical evenings

An adult mixed choir about 60 strong,mainly classical repertoire,1or 2 main concerts with orchestra p.a.+ some for charity. Non-auditioning, and aims to educate & develop musical skills

We raise funds and help organise events and activities to enhance school life for all pupils at Stafford Grammar School. Events include Christmas Fairs, Summer Fetes and concerts. Our funds are used to purchase equipment, run educational workshops, fund school trips, and support extra-curricular clubs for the benefit of pupils.
