Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Performing several concerts per year, plus choral workshops for a wider audience. We offer free membership to all full time students and a reduced subscription for singers under the age of 26.

The City of Stoke-on-Trent Symphony Orchestra exists to promote, advance and improve public education in and appreciation of music. The CSSO achieves these goals through the presentation of public concerts, the provision of educational and other community engagement programmes and through other projects such as school workshops.

The aims of the Charity are to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education & the appreciation of theatre, drama and the arts in all its aspects by, but not limited to:1 the preparation and presentation of theatre and music theatre performances by pre-dominantly disabled and under-privileged young people, but not exclusively: and2 the provision of workshops in theatre, drama & arts.

Promotion, commissioning and professional performance of contemporary music, mainly by living composers based in the UK. High profile concerts and touring across the UK. Regular education work with young performers and composers. Strong focus on works combining music and other media, particularly silent film.

Performance of classical choral music.

We hold services of public worship weekly and special services at Christian festivals, coffee fellowship morning weekly, Brass Band practice weekly, host yoga and exercise groups, work with the Goslings pre-school who use our premises, and hold many other social events and concerts.

The LGSO is the oldest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender orchestra in the UK. We welcome anyone whatever their sexuality. The Orchestra prides itself on being run by its members: a repertoire committee chooses the music we play and one of our aims is to develop the talents of all of our members.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music.

The purpose of the JRSA is to advance the education of its students by developing effective relationships between staff, parents, carers and others within the school. It will aim to achieve this by providing, facilities and equipment which support the school and help the education of the students. The JRSA does this by raising funds via social evenings, concerts, raffles, quiz nights etc.

Amateur musical theatre group providing affordable productions to the locality, and a weekly rehearsal / social meeting for those interested in singing and acting.

Evesham Arts Assoc. works to provide live amateur and professional arts events including concerts, musicals, drama, film, dance etc. We also hold exhibitions covering photography and art to encourage local talent.

The Haffner Orchestra is a very good amateur concert orchestra, normally giving three public concerts a year in Lancaster.

To advance education in all aspects of the creative arts, in particular, but not exclusively, by running an open access arts and culture festival in the town of Battle each year for public benefit.To enrich the lives of residents in Battle and the surrounding area by the promotion and encouragement of all forms of art.

Activities are created through the development and running of interest groups, each of which has a specific learning purpose. The range of interest groups is extensive from Geology, Naval History, Walking, Music, Boating & Sailing, Theatre, Current Affairs, Genealogy, Table Tennis, Weather Watching, Astronomy, Astro-Navigation, etc.

The festival organises public concerts which are designed to educate the wider public, the elderly, children, and music students in high quality chamber music. The festival also runs workshops in schools, designed to introduce and further educate school children in chamber music and provide access to performances to those who would not normally attend a concert.

The Hymn Society of Great Britain and Ireland, encouraging study and research in hymnody; promoting good standards of hymn-singing; encouraging the discerning use of hymns and songs in worship; sponsoring relevant publications.

To educate the public by the study and practice of choral music and the concert performance of choral works.

To promote social engagement through sporting activities including Football, Bowling, Karate, Yoga.Other activities: support of a Brass Band, Youth Club, WI Ladies, Bestwood Ladies Group, Autism Group, Male Voice Choir & facilities for local and surrounding families to use.There is also support for the village Christmas Tree, parties and local events.

To advance the education of the public in the understanding and appreciation of the musical arts, in particular male voice choral music, by the presentation of concerts and similar activities.

To educate the public in, and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in dramatic and operatic arts and musical works of all kinds.
