Arts Charities That specialise in Music

We meet every week to rehearse for concerts and other musical activities, which we perform at least four times a year. Every Christmas, we sing in a charity concert with all the proceeds being donated to a local charity.

Music sessions, workshops and live performance for children and young people

The choir holds weekly rehearsals. As well as developing musical skills, this provides important social connections and supports wellbeing. The choir typically performs 3 to 5 concerts a year; annually conducts a choral workshop and a choral summer school that is open to members of the public; seeks joint concerts with other choirs; and participates in charitable musical events on an ad hoc basis.

The Friends is a membership organisation which raises funds from subscriptions, donations, investments and other activities. The Friends' purpose is to make grants to the chapter of Worcester cathedral and other groups within the cathedral in preserving, maintaining and developing the cathedral's mission, resources, music and other aspects of the worship and life of the cathedral.

The church advances religion by the preaching of the Gospel, public worship within the church building,organised Bible studies, prayer meetings, evangelistic events, carol concerts, and meeting needs withinthe community.Services are held on Sundays at 10.30am usually.

Sky Full Of Stories utilises the performance arts, storytelling and music to help combat social isolation in marginalised people.

The Songwriting Charity engages with children and young people to generate creative energy around issues that impact on their lives such as bullying, health, mental health, all through songwriting. We address and boost their emotional health and wellbeing through the delivery of intensive songwriting and music technology workshops. We work across England and Wales, and in Europe.

The education and training of young people from the local and surrounding area in relation to music. Youngsters from the age of 10 years upwards are taught to play an instrument and progress to performing with the Band either in concert or as part of a marching display at various public events both in the UK and abroad.

The Dr Martin Clarke YOST aims to train the next generation of organists, preserving the UK's rich cultural heritage of church music.
