Arts Charities That specialise in Theatre

The main activities undertaken by the Trust are the promotion of performances at the Rondo Theatre by both amateur and professional artists, undertaking to encourage and support new writing and emerging theatre companies, and supporting the Rondo Theatre Company, and children's theatre groups.

Swansea Little Theatre promotes drama in Swansea and surrounding district. We put on six major plays a year. We bring theatre to distant parts in our outreach programme. We have a regular youth theatre (7 - 18 yr olds). We enable other theatre groups, schools, drama groups to perform in a professional theatre environment. All members are volunteers.

To advance the education of the public whether in the United Kingdom or overseas in all matters relating to the African arts in all their forms, including but not limited to theatre, dance, music, cinema, architecture, literature and the visual arts. The charity raises funds and administers the Caine Prize for African writing.

The presentation of dramatic and musical art for the education of the public.

The charity provides three halls for the local community to use for various functions within the village, including W.I. flower club, pilates, dancing classes, dancing, stroke clubs, dog training & drama group. The charity produces pantomimes, variety shows and band concerts to raise funds.

The main purposes of the WI organisation are to enable women to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public question, in music, drama and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. The Newquay Dramatic Society performs stage productions (amateur dramatics) for the benefit of the people of Cornwall and visitors to Cornwall from other parts of the country. Newquay Dramatic Society also hires its theatre to other performing groups, community groups and acts in order to widen its range of cultural events.

The premises are used by:-A Pre-School Play Group, Theatrical Society, Ballet Classes for ages 4 to Adult, Mixed Badminton, Ladies Badminton, Modern Dance Classes, Young People's Modern Dance Classes, Tea Dances, Old Time Dancing, Theatre Dance Classes and Scottish Country Dancing, Pilates, Fitness Sessions, Strength & Balance and Aerobics for the over 50's (NHS Project).

Production of musical theatre shows
