Donnington Hall is owned by the village of Dunton Green and is hired out to bona fide organisations which provide a variety of activities for the local community. Regular activities include badminton, drama academy, karate, pre-school, sequence dancing and table tennis. Subject to availability, terms and conditions, individuals can book the Hall on an ad hoc basis for private functions.

Badcock Recreation ground is used by the following teams - football (3), cricket, tennis courts, children's play area and general recreation.The hall is used for numerous activities organised in the village - clubs, concerts, dancing, private hire, theatre group etc.

Provides facilities for the community to support a range of local functions such as Pre-School and, local community clubs (Gardening, Badminton, Choir), weddings, funeral teas and other gatherings. The Village Hall is also a venue for educational and recreation activities, Ballroom Dancing /Salsa/Yoga/Spanish classes and hosts theatrical performances by amateur dramatic groups.

The Whips is an amateur dramatic society established to promote the advancement and improvement of general education in relation to all aspects of The Art of Drama and the development of public appreciation of such art and to give opprtunity to perform to those aged between 8 and 80.

Quiz's, summer lunch, bonfire party,bingo nights, childrens parties, PCC meetings, YFC Drama meetings, concerts, wakes. All for the benefit of Hardwicke & surrounding areas.

STAGING DRAMA AND MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS

A lending library and bookstall. Advice and information for individuals and initiatives. Granting of loans and donations to individuals and institutions working out of the same impulse.

Judo Club, Wine Circle, Library, Women's Institute, Dance Groups, Film Club.Informative talks, and various social activities including annual Village Fayre, occasional theatre production.Children's parties.

We administer, manage and facilitate our hall for community activities and meetings, including a choir and dance classes, garden club, history group, lunch club for the elderly, the Church in Oakridge, W.I. etc. The trust holds fundraising events, Film Nights, and lets the hall for educational, community functions, family parties, children's parties, annual village show, and drama productions.

The aim is to promote amateur theatre in and across the greater manchester area together with updates of legal and national requirements, this involves approximately 60 societies.

Our charity's current activities continue to ensure the continuity of worship in Dore Abbey. The (12) Building involves an on-going expense of fabric maintenance. Guided tours continue to promote the education of the public in the historical & archaeological treasures of our ancient church. Music, drama events are organised during the summer months for the benefit of the public.
