Five trustees are elected for a four-year term and the management committee is also made up of user representatives and co-opted members with specialist knowledge.

To fund a six month Fellowship to facilitate an artist in undertaking research and developing their work. During the Fellowship there will be access to the collections of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The objective of the Fellowship is for an artist to undertake research and development to further advance their artistic skills and knowledge and to make a presentation to Trustees.

The Guild's Aim is to keep the traditional Crafts of Handweaving, Spinning and Dyeing alive and developing in the modern world. To do this we demonstrate skills to the public and meet together for the sharing of ideas and experience.

Education of women in its broadest sense - talks covering nature, science, fashion, home crafts, history: culture - theatre and places of interest visited: issues of the day discussed

Provides speakers and demonstrators for members that encourages then to take part in various activities or receive knowledge in subjects that will interest them such as crafts and local history as well as advancing their skills for their own benefit and of the local community.

To inform and increase knowledge of textiles in the fields of spinning, weaving and dyeing to help maintain the continued use of these crafts.

We provide a safe and pleasant environment for parents, grandparents and carers to come and interact, have a chat & play with their children. We supply materials for craft making activities, painting, interactive music with multi cultural instruments, toys and a small soft play area which is age appropriate for 1 to 4yrs.

Promotes and encourages practice and appreciation of art through indoor and outdoor painting sessions and tutorials, exhibitions and other related events.
