The main aims of the charity are the promotion of the Catholic religion and hospitality to all visitors to the Abbey, in the spirit of the Rule of St Benedict. To preserve the spiritual identity of the Abbey and its Benedictine community through maintenance projects to preserve the Abbey and its building; and running the Abbey's tea shop, farm shop and art gallery for the benefit of its visitors.

The Avenues Youth Project provides out of school hours activities for children and young people aged 11 -25.We provide a range of informal educational opportunities including music, arts, crafts, dance, drama, discussion, radio etc. designed to improve the emotional, social and educational welfare of the young people who attend the project.

Arts at the Old Fire Station encourages people from all backgrounds to understand and shape the world in which we live through stories, creativity and the arts, and by connecting with others.
