Associations Charities That specialise in Girlguiding

To provide a fully maintained meeting place for Rainbows; Brownies; Guides and Ranger groups within the local area and provide a safe and happy environment for them to learn in a fun environment.

District Guide Association for Burnham and Taplow (1 Ranger, 2 Guide units, Four Brownies units and one Rainbow). District has 100% interest in income and assets of Burnham Supporters Committee. Purpose of Supporters Committee is to provide a safe and fit for purpose Guide HQ and garden for Burnham Units.

Facilities provided ensure that children, between ages 4 -18 can participate in Girlguiding UK activities and children aged 5 -18 can participate in Scouting activities.

The charity was established in 1993 and supports Girlguiding units in Morecambe, Heysham , Slyne with Hest, Bolton le Sands, Carnforth, Nether Kellet, Warton and Silverdale,Lancashire. The division jointly owns, with Lancaster & Garstang division (Reg Charity No 1031360), Silver Sapling campsite, Silverdale as a facility available to all Units within the division and the wider area.

Aim to get community together - share ideas - open to all suggestions - singing for fun - armchair aerobics, luncheon club - coffee mornings - use of hall for rainbows/guides/brownies. Pentecostal Church - open for hire - concerts, harvest suppers etc.

Little Bytham Village Hall is used weekly by various local groups ie, Guides, Brownies & Rainbows. Also a very talented art group meets every week. We are regularly used by our Parish Council and local churches . Our hall is also used by local people for children's parties, weddings, bingo, quiz evenings, concerts and specialist talks.

Pursuing the objectives of Girlguiding UK

Girlguiding UK enables girls and young women to develop their potential and to make a difference to the world. Earley District run units locally to achieve this accomodating girls from the age of 5 to 65. A variety of activities are run including crafts, adventurous activities, singing, outdoor camping and opportunities to travel and stay away. Topics include the world, the environment.

Maintenance of Guide hut and support Brownies, Guides, Rangers and Trefoil guild activities.

Rhiwbina Girlguiding Centre. Previously been used for Girlguiding activities but is temporarily closed whilst consideration is given to rebuilding the hall as it is currently not safe to use.

Meeting of Brownies and Girl Guides

To enable girls and young women to fulfill their potential and take an active role in Society.

Education of girls between the ages of 5 -7 (Rainbows) 7 - 10 (Brownies) 10-14 (Guides) 14 plus older girls

Activities which follow the aims and objectives of Girlguiding UK.

Girls and young women are encouraged to develop their individual skills and talents, to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society. This is supported by girlguiding's distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities.

An all encompassing group doing various activities for girls and young women with trained leaders

Enfield Division provides activities for girls only from 5 to 25 and leaders. These girl led activities include craft, games, camps and holidays, badges eg. D of E, competitions, adventurous activities and fund raising. Section wide events include Rainbow days, Brownie Sleepovers, Guide camps, leader training, Heafield competition, Patrons Lunch and Guiding Gala Dinner

Many Guide units and Brownie Packs have enjoyed their activities with Poole East Division. Camping and outdoor experiences along with more adventurous activities at outdoor education centres. We have been part of the large County camp this year.

The Charity operates a hall for the use of scouts and brownies and other organisations.
