FUNDRAISING FOR THINGS OUTSIDE SCHOOL BUDGET. ACTIVITIES INVOLVING SCHOOL PARENTS AND COMMUNITY

The Trustees of the Friends of Royal Alexandra and Albert School Charity supports the school, a state boarding school for full and flexi-boarders covering an age range, Year 3 to Year 13. By working with the school governors, senior management team and parents, the trustees run events to generate funds that are donated to support projects that enhance education and improve the welfare of pupils.

The Friends of York Cemetery raise funds to support the York Cemetery Trust, volunteers and the running of the Cemetery. Educational days, genealogy, grave searches and walks round the Cemetery are organised covering an array of topics.

Our ethos is to provide continued support to the school to assist in providing every child with the opportunity to fufil their full potential. We have funded a range of equipment such as PCs as well as substantial donations to the school to assist in the renovation of the outdoor areas including the installation of a MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) to lighting for the school stage.

The charity raises funds to enhance the school experience for pupils at Newton Bridge Academy, supporting the school's vision for enabling 'limitless learning' opportunities. Activities include sponsored events, seasonal fairs and other fundraising initiatives throughout the year. The funds raised are used to provide enriching resources, opportunities and experiences for pupils.

The charity raises funds to provide grants and interest free loans to members of the Federation of Zionist Youth participating in the movements year course programmes in Israel and educational activities in the UK. The trustees own the building that acts as headquarters for the Federation of Zionist Youth and provide these premises on a rent-free basis.

To maintain, improve, supplement and keep in repair, the fabric, fittings, furniture and furnishings of the Parish Church of all Saints, Brixworth and its churchyard and Heritage Centre and to hold the Heritage Centre in perpetuity. We are parents/carers whose children attend the Raysfield. We organise events to raise monies to enrich the education above what the school is able to provide e.g. Equipment, Theatre Group Visits, Play Equipment, Outdoor Learning Waterproofs, High Visability Jackets and much much more.
