We are a Community Service Organisation dedicated to providing assistance to the vulnerable in our local community and abroad. Our activities include: Musical evenings, Race nights, Specialised Equipment, Senior Citizens' Party, Day trips for vulnerable children and adults. Our overseas support includes Sightsavers, WaterAid and emergency disaster aid. All members are volunteers.

We organize events around South Somerset such as fetes, dog shows, 10k runs, etc. to raise funds so we can make donations to or pay for activities to the types of group or individuals listed. Our events also enable other groups to raise funds. We also offer manpower to help community activities e.g., car parking, marshalling events, etc.

Raising & dispersing funds for individuals in need, associations & local sports Clubs. Annually we have a Christmas Santa Sleigh which tours the local area to raise funds. We also hold Easter egg raffles.

We serve our community of Barwell, Earl Shilton, Stoney Stanton, Sapcote, Stapleton, Thurlaston & Croft. Our objectives are to help our community & international projects through fund raising, service work, and welfare projects. We seek new & enthusiastic members from our local community

The club makes grants to individuals in need, local charities and organisations and within Swaffham and the surrounding villages. It will, in case of need, support national charities. CREDITON LIONS CLUB PROVIDES FINANCIAL AND SERVICE SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS AND OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS IN THE CREDITON AREA. THE CLUB DONATES TO LIONS INTERNATIONAL TO HELP WITH EMERGENCY AND DISASTER APPEALS

Our activities include:- Providing car parking duties at events. Taking our Candy Floss stalls to events.Holding quiz nights, raffles, bingo etc.Providing a used spectacles collection service.All activities are carried out by our Members within the local community.

General charity purposes, disability, relief of poor, children/young people, elderly/old people, people with disabilities,other charities, general public, makes grants to individuals, makes grants to organisations, provides service.

The provision of relief, help and assistance to less fortunate individuals and groups and also the provision of assistance to groups, associations and other charities who themselves provide a service to the community either locally or internationally.

Limited fundraising opportunities due to Covid 19 but club has been successful on several fronts gaining a grant from LCIF as well as limited local activities. Several good causes have been supported and we are continuing this with a very successful Christmas effort for the next financial year.

We raise money through attending gala's with a fundraising activity, collecting in supermarkets and, operating Santa's Grottos and Christmas prize Draws, plus other activities. We then use the money to help people in need within the community eg helping the elderly, vulnerable people, the homeless, people with disabilities, young people, children and families.

To raise funds to enable financial and other assistance to needy persons and organisations in our local community and also to Lions International projects.

WE DONATE TO LOCAL YOUTH AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS, CHARITIES FOR THE ELDERLY, THOSE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, DESERVING INDIVIDUALS, ORGANISATIONS AND THE UNDER-PRIVILEGED. WE DONATE TO OTHER CHARITY GROUPS AND TO INTERNATIONAL AID VIA LIONS INTERNATIONAL THE CHARITY RUNS FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY MAINLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TO ENABLE IT TO ACHIEVE ITS OBJECTIVES.

The Club serves the local community as well as people internationally. They work with people who are elderly, disabled and / or have disadvantaged benefits, also the wider community by making Southend on Sea a better place to live and work. They also make grants to some national and international appeals (e.g. to relieve poverty, respond to disabilities), extending the public benefit overseas.
