Provision of scouting activities for local children aged 6 - 18 in accordance with the rules, aims and objectives laid down by the Scout Association.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 18th Epping Forest South Scout Group give young people of Wanstead and Woodford the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

PROVIDING SCOUTING AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED FROM 6 - 14 YEARS.

Promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.Providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scout meetings at 1st Lichfield Scouts provide weekly activities for children between the ages of 5 and 14. The groups take place at Leasowe Scout Hall with opportunities for trips, camps and other off site activities throughout the year. Following the Scouting and Guiding Programmes which encompass personal development, learning skills, becoming Good Citizens whilst having fun. Taking Badges in various skills along the way and Camping etc.

The Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-13. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

Scouting and Youth activities.

The method of achieving the aim is by providing an attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the scout promise and law.

We run the village playing field for cricket, football, tennis, bowls, scouts & children play group. In addition we now own & run a 6 & a half acre wildlife site next to the playing field - 4 acres meadow 2 acres woodland. This is called the Alderbed Meadow Project.
