The Scout group provides a range of activities either at our weekly meetings at our headquarters building or on camps at scouting activity centres. These include adventurous activities which provide personal development for boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14.

General scouting activities running sections for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from ages six and a half to fifteen. Boys and girls are encouraged to join and take full part. We own our own Scout Hall which is used from Monday - Thursday with a Brownie Pack using it on a Wednesday. The Hall is also available to other organisations within the local community.

To supply a range of activities for 4 to 14 year olds over 4 different named sections (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts). As the young person moves to the next section, the activities get more adventurous to reflect this. All our programme is based on the Scout Association method and values. The Group also works in partnership with an Explorer Unit for young people aged 14 to 18.

Line dancing, Mums & Tots, Scouts, Dog Shows, Bird Shows, Caravan Clubs, Bingo, Rabbit Club, Weight Watchers, Luncheon Club, Childrens Discos, Playgroup, Private Bookings for Parties and other functions etc

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends, having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges. Every week we give almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills for life.

We are a Scout Group comprising of Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts with both male and female members. We offer a wide range of Scouting activities and facilities for all our youngsters including the instruction in the principles of Scouting.

We offer a wide variety of activities to our Beavers, Cubs & Scouts - from craftwork to hiking, camping to sailing, indoor climbing to kayaking, cycling to quizzes. The boys are encouraged to learn new skills & have fun with their fellow Scouts both within the Group & the wider Scouting community, & to raise money for charity, not only to support the Group but also for other local initiatives.

Activities include arts and craft, games, sporting activities and camping. We organise external people to give talks either on our premises or at their own premises such as Police dog handlers, Police helicopter, RSPCA, Fire Brigade, A drive in a 4 wheel drive vehicle over an assault course.

THE GROUP IS A UNIT OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION.THE AIM OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL INTELLECTUAL,SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS AS INDIVIDUALS.THE METHOD OF ACHIEVING THIS IS DONE BY PROVIDING AN ENJOYABLE AND ATTRACTIVE SCHEME OF PROGRESSIVE TRAINING BASED ON THE SCOUT PROMISE AND LAW GUIDED BY ADULT LEADERSHIP.
